    Southern Inland Rugby 2019

The big screen Sam is run by being connected to a laptop. What you see on screen is a simple scoring program that has a version for each sport. You could run the livestream through to the big screen I assume. But to be able to switch between the scoring program and the internet is something I’m...

    Southern Inland Rugby 2019

Rugby finals should be all about 1st grade. One of the 2 teams playing 1st grade ie Aggies or Albury, should be hosting this weekend. Last week one set of finals should have been at Conolly, the other at Griffith. If the Exies ground was unavailable here at Griffith the second set of finals...

The only trouble with our ground here at the Exies Whistle is availability. We’re 3rd on the priority list behind afl and mungos. We can’t guarantee ground availability at a week’s notice.

The key to Waratahs success is their composure. Steamers/Aggies will be under pressure at every scrum/maul in GF. Whoever plays in the GF needs some way to stop Waratahs from settling into their usual rhythm or it will be a procession like yesterday. Looking like Whistle’s prediction of the the...

It would be fantastic if both 1st grade semifinals were live-streamed. Must be a concern for Aggies the way Waratahs dominated the scrum last week. I thought the way of Whistle and Bubba re the minor semi. Was talking to a Blacks player today though. Griffith are pretty confident.

No I didn’t Bandar. That was the exact same score last time they played as well. Except Griffith won on that occasion. There’s not much at all between those teams. Leeton tend to let themselves down by giving away too many penalties.

On a positive note I reckon Steamers are running into form at the right time. With the Blacks going down to Leeton, Albury will be feeling confident going into Saturday. Aggies too looked pretty good on the livestream.

I haven’t got access to the Border Mail or the DA articles. What’s the equation for Albury making the finals with this weekend’s games? Is there a chance they can miss out?

City a great improvement from 2018. Aim for another jump up the ladder next season. CSU big movers 2020. The Competition needs structural support from Clubs. Each club needs to supply referees and assistant referees to the overall pool. No qualified people in the middle/sides no game. All...

I think with the number of penalties they are getting against them and the number of cards they are receiving Leeton are possibly developing a siege mentality.

Has this wrong player being charged identification spree this season Whistle got anything to do with the fact that the players have different no.s on their backs than they have on the explorer app? I mean is it that the names and numbers aren’t matching up?

Some cards both red and yellow can be a bit soft these days. Expect dressing down from Sam. Warwick Strong from Deni refereed us Saturday. Great job. Actually met him. Nice bloke. Like the old days he stayed around for a drink and a feed after the game. Score against Reddies could have blown out...

    Southern Inland Rugby 2019

Well Bandar the Swans August 10 match day has been moved to Sunday to accommodate the local Griffith Waratahs Rugby League Club. Because the Siru semifinals day on August 17 would be a big and important day I’m sure the Exies Club would be interested in holding it. The Swans themselves I’m not...

    Southern Inland Rugby 2019

I don’t think Griffith could host 2nd semifinals if the date is August 17. Pretty sure the ground is booked that day by Swans AFL club here. If we did host it that day it would have to be on the 2nd ground which isn’t the main field. On another note are team sheets required to be filled in by...

Blacks 52 Reddies 12. Gutsy spirited effort from students. Hope the club continues and picks up next year.

The only game in question is the Aggies v Leeton match. Phantoms could win. City look shaky not naming a team. Albury probably win. The other 2 games would seem to lack any pressure for the home teams. Great summary as usual Whistle.

    Southern Inland Rugby 2019

I think Waratahs are long odds on favourites Whistle and Bandar. However Saione Ahomana scored 4 tries against them last time he played them. Chris Latu proved very damaging last time he played against them. These 2 have not played regularly for Blacks this year. Without them playing for Blacks...

    Southern Inland Rugby 2019

I probably agree with you Whistle, but Griffith basically flogged Waratahs last week. Apparently both teams were missing some players but the Blacks were dominant. Saione only lasted 5 - 10 minutes against Aggies. Injured I assume. But if he and Chris Latu lined up grand final day against...

Watched the livestream game. Griffith had players who didn’t travel. Aggies won and good luck to them but neither team looked particularly impressive. Anyone got the other results?

Thanks again Whistle for this. Such a great service. Griffith seem to have a bit different forward pack. Interesting to see if Aggies handle Saione. He scored 4 tries last week. Leeton are a better team than City. Bulls are on the improve again while Steamers’ form has flatlined. There’s no need...
