While I support Griffith Blacks I am not on the committee and don’t talk rugby with committee members. I personally believe our SIRU rep program is inadequate. As Reasoning suggested my opinion is that we would be better served going to Country Week. The Brumbies might be great for junior SIRU...

Mate didn’t we have a game of rugby every week before Brumbies affiliation. I was under the impression that individual clubs sorted player insurance. What rep pathways. Even the players in this zone aren’t interested in your rep pathways. What percentage of registration fees go to ACT...

What does the average senior SIRU player get out of Brumbies affiliation - bugger all I’d imagine. What percentage of a registration fee goes toward ACT affiliation. Players just want a game of rugby on Saturday afternoon. Super Rugby clubs can talent scout junior or young senior players to...

What a fantastic development for those clubs in the new/old SW comp. I think this will be a stable comp. Waratahs obviously aren’t but Rugby in general is struggling in SIRU. None of those SW teams will be rushing to gain entry back into our zone. I don’t think those SW clubs would be concerned...

Whistle, rugby in NSW has gone downhill since everything has been geared to super rugby. Country Rep rugby included. Country rep rugby should be like it used to be with zones meeting in Sydney on a long weekend. Zones of relatively similar strength play each other etc. The old Country Week...

What does everyone expect. Isn’t our rep program inadequate. I realise this is a different situation but the players themselves have given up on pathways via representing SIRU. A team of players unavailable could have easily accounted for our actual SIRU rep team this year.

I ‘d have to say typical kartman. Wagga/SIRU admin seem to have always treated some clubs differently to others. Look at the way the Leeton coach was treated compared to this Blacks player.

Maybe we start too early Reasoning. I think the season is long enough but it’s pretty cool up here in Griffith. Far too cold for cricket. I reckon we should have a pre season comp and pick a rep squad. That would extend our season. I suppose if you get through to the GF the season will seem long...

I didn’t believe him at the time Mauler but Whistle did predict this situation that City now finds itself in right back at the start of the season. This is a forum and he has a right to be critical of City’s performances this year. They haven’t won a game and have rarely been competitive...

I reckon outside the bottom 3 the other 5 teams are pretty high quality outfits. Waratahs should make the GF. If Aggies or Albury are their opponents a shock result could be in the offing.

Last year Whistle Griffith had basically a skeleton group training in both grades and the culture at the club was not very good. This year both those things have turned around. The coach is well liked and respected and longer rather than shorter term. We’ve added a 3rd grade. We haven’t had much...

Maybe the university should step in and work something out to make things more balanced between Reddies and Aggies. The uni is where the majority of funding for both clubs comes from. As far as the 2 town teams are concerned City has appeared to always have been a poor relation of Waratahs...

    Southern Inland Rugby 2018

Having watched the 2 uni teams this year they seem to be pretty much all students. The Wagga landscape is quite unusual. With one town team struggling to keep opposing teams to under 100 the other one is undefeated.

I think the Lollies were shattered by the GF loss in 2016 and felt hardly done by as far as infield decisions. They did Ok last year but have yet to regain spirit and momentum as a club. The better new players coming to Wagga will always gravitate to Waratahs and that scenario will probably only...

Just to clarify Mauler. City beat Aggies in 2nds. What you are suggesting is that if Aggies 1sts played Aggies 2nd grade they would beat them by nigh on a century of points.

Griffith were in it for 15 mins and then Leeton clicked into another gear Whistle and the fat lady was singing before half time. City are obviously stacking their 2nds Mauler. Where’s all the indignation that was directed at Griffith when they did the same thing last year. I’m not saying it’s OK.

You got them all Whistle. All one way traffic here at Griffith. Great refereeing by Sam. Bulls struggling a bit. Maybe we’ll do better against them next week.

    Southern Inland Rugby 2018

Semi Finals Waratahs certain Leeton certain Albury certain Aggies certain Tumut certain Griffith impossible - even if they won all 3 remaining games (unlikely) Blacks would be dependent on other teams being beaten by City and CSU (unlikely). What remains interesting is the order after Waratahs...

    Southern Inland Rugby 2018

The Reddies tried all day. The game looked like a Colts team playing a 1st grade team. If the Blacks were to win next week it would give them a confidence boost coming into their 2 in a row home games against Leeton and Tumut. I've got a feeling their season depends on what happens at...

'The Steamers will be much too strong for Aggies who are on holidays and apparently have several players unavailable doe tp Prac. work'. You did get the rest of the round predictions right Whistle. Griffith now in 4th spot. Can they consolidate by beating the Steamers next weekend at Murrayfield.
