If he's anything like Kerevi I'll take that in a heart beat!

While I feel like Paisami would be the best direct plug in option, I'd be hesitant to throw him to the Lions (All-Blacks) game one. But Paisami just feels like that odd type of player who is a good Super Rugby but excellent Test player. Just worried about throwing him in the deep end.

    Well that's thrown the cat among the pigeons... Do you go: 10) O'Connor 12) To'omua 13) Hodge or 10) Lolesio 12) To'omua 13) O'Connor

Why is everyone so low on Simmons, I don't think Phillip has been particularly better? And why can't you play Simmons and LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) together? Simmons is a 100 test Wallaby for all 'teh eXpErIeNcE' everyone goes on about for Hooper why doesn't Simmons get that same credit -- he's been playing bloody...

    Wallabies 2020

Yeah, that's why -- as much as I can't believe I'm actually saying this -- we need to start Rob 'I do dumb shit' Simmons. He's the best lineout operator in Australia, and for the moment he has been playing good fotty. He's also probably a good option for captain, sees out his 12 month stint...

    Reds 2020

Nah, I think the Reds have been very good this year, they had the toughest start of the Super Rugby season and were just coming into there own. They are on average 3-4 points away from the Brumbies in Canberra from 3 games. Both would have been in contention for Super Rugby Finals. Are either...

    Wallabies 2020

    I think for Bled 1 we will see something like: 1) Slipper 2) Fainga'a 3) Tupou 4) Simmons 5) LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) 6) Wright 7) Hooper 8) Willson 9) McDermott 10) O'Connor 11) Daugunu 12) To'omua 13) Petaia 14) Koroibete 15) Banks 16) BPA 17) Sio 18) Ala'alatoa 19) Philip 20) Samu 21) McReight / Valetini 22)...

To those criticizing BPA's throwing there wasn't too much wrong with his throws, maybe a touch lower than you'd like but seriously nothing wrong with BPA's throws -- the Brumbies were just very very good on the defensive lineout, they were probably watching Reds lineouts constantly the last two...

Yeah he made a semi-cryptic post about it. Not telling too much.

Super Rugby Au Final - Brumbies v Reds

If the Reds can gain a lead they'll run away with it. If the Brumbs can keep it close then I suspect they'll get it done -- they just know how to win.

Wasn't I roasted a few weeks ago for saying Valetini isn't in the first choice back row for the Brumbies...

The other thing is Hooper's experience is it's not as if he's Richie Macaw. He's captaining has lead us to arguably the worst Australian side in history... maybe no experience is better than that kind of experience?

Super Rugby Au Final - Brumbies v Reds

Brumbies win this by zero points because of the week off.

    Wallabies 2020

To'omua & O'Connor would be the most likely to be in most ANY XV. From the Forwards you'd imagine Tupou, Slipper, LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto), MAYBE Simmons, Wright & Hooper would probably be only forwards locked in for most sides. The possible options (as I see them) I don't think anyone would disagree significantly...

    Wallabies 2020

Yeah, Hodge is an option -- I still think he needs a whole season at largely the same position before he can really begin his career the dude had 69 Super Caps o_O and 30 odd internationals and STILL has no true position. If he could get some continuity at one position he'd actually be able to...

    Wallabies 2020

I think on current form Campbell is not far off any of DHP, Maddocks or Banks. DHP is 31 and has again injured his knee -- rehabbing at 31 isn't the same as it was at 21, even then it's not like he's a 50 cap vet, he's only got 30 odd caps, and not in particularly good form. Banks is probably...

    Wallabies 2020

@Gutz Daugunu is as good under the highball as any other winger. Koro might have some issues. But I do agree Campbell probably isn't yet to test stand -- and I'd tend to not actually have him in a test team, but on form he's been the best fullback. He's a bit too old, yet inexperienced, and a...

    Wallabies 2020

I head some stuff from Beth Newman (one of the Rugby Australia reporters) said Isi wasn't fit enough, he had missed 2 or 3 games while he was healthy because he was unfit. And ultimately Rennie (presumably with Wessels input) decided he's simply nowhere near his fittest, and that until/unless...

Sorry regarding Ned I meant in the 46 squad not 23.

    Wallabies 2020

I agree with the general concencious re Ned. He's an odd development player. Had a good season, but not good enough to justify selection on merit. We probably have at least 3 other guys just in the squad I'd have ahead of him as a 6. The one thing he might bring is lineout work -- although...
