NSW U16 Trial Games and Selections 2011

NSW side looks pretty good on paper although, given the result, I can see why the Country folk might feel a little hard done by. Am I right in noting that they have only picked one hooker ? I also note that Country's representation of 7 players is exactly matched in 15s and 17s. Is there some...

Just had a little look on Buddha... Canterbury can still go through if they drop the Merrylands game, but they would need Norths to beat Hills in the last round and beat Hawkesbury themselves. The time of that game would suggest they could get their Sydney boys back for it, so would say they are...

NSW U16 Trial Games and Selections 2011

Come on Newbs... Top of the table clash ??? Good game that it might be, but that's 1 vs 4 ! Hawkesbury and Norths Pirates might have a little bit more to say about the direction of the title, particularly Norths who won last year, and a large portion of the team the 2009 and 2008 MNZ A Grade as...

Which hooker threw the dud throws ? Out of the two picked, I was impressed with Koutsoukis at the regionals, not so much Coffill although he was steady enough... Also, who was the jumper ? Takes two to tango... From the sound of Spiker's post all the best players were on the bench ! Also, glad...

They can't do Saturday as they wouldn't have any players due to school commitments... The clubs, however, don't matter... Read into that what you will

Without wishing to be drawn into this debate, as I make it, 11 CAS players (not all rep). Maybe they decided between them to have the duke out that CCC denied them ! At this point I shall withdraw back into my vision of peace and love to the world... !

Did Country announce today also ? Apologies if so, didn't realise... Unless that's an offer Ding Dong, in which case I hope you haven't accidentally misplaced a K with a D in your username !

There will always be disagreements over this player should have been, this player shouldn't etc etc etc, and often it is forgotten that, at this level, there is often a very fine line between those boys who make the team and those that don't, and that they are still kids... Regardless of the...

Interesting... King is a much better player than he showed this weekend. I just can't see Schools picking an AICES player. More likely is Koutsoukis and King for schools and Donnelly and Coffill for SJRU

Sorry, bad grammar ! Wouldn't be surprised if all three FEATURE in the nationals !!!

CTPE, three could come into the equation. Coffill from West Zone was mobile and reasonably solid at the set piece. Thought he lost the battle against Donnelly from MNZ in their game, however immediately took a tight head from King (your NSW Schools first choice) when he came on, and looked...

LOL ! Anger, frustration, toys, prams and dummies ! Just offering a different perspective ! Agree that Northern Zone's finishing position was reflective of their performance, however the stats suggest all sides were fairly evenly matched. Northern Zone's biggest weakness was in the backs...

NSW U16 Trial Games and Selections 2011

Before the Westies get too excited about bashing Northern Zone guys... Although Northern Zone only won one game all weekend, they only lost one. They held Country to a draw who beat West and Baa Baas to a draw who beat Country. In the game they lost against West, up until the last 10 or 15 mins...

I'm not sure if he can, but if he can't he has another path to the nationals

Good question Rara. He is the MNZ squad so you would have to figure that SJRU would snap him up if Schools don't.

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2011

I do know him and he's a good kid. Just unfortunate to see quality young players receiving unfair criticism for no good reason. Same goes for Joey also, some of which has overstepped the mark in my opinion.
