Yes not convinced Hodge to 13 is the answer. Hodge to 15 and Riply 13 - Pincus as 23.

Super Rugby Rd 1: Waratahs vs Brumbies Friday, 24th February

I remember some of the french props from a while back- quite small but super strong LHPs. Nicolas Mas and Thomas Domingo. Both 'Small' but almost ripped. 108kg balls of scrum pig muscle, both 180cm or less. low centre of gravity so not super easy to get down. Schoupp looked like a little agro...

    Wallabies 2023

Eddie will get his way - and this will open the chance for Sio for sure. He will be involved in conversations definitely now because of this - even if Bell does just make it back. Why? Because the gap between Slipper/Bell down to Robertson/Gibbon is vast. Sio is the gap filler and his value just...

Super Rugby Rd 1: Waratahs vs Brumbies Friday, 24th February

Swinton never was nor never will be a 'running' forward. Not like Higs or Valetini He is an enforcer - putting big shots and shifts timber around the breakdowns. Needed Gleeson to start. Love Gamble but this is not a Poopcock scenario. With Bell injured this will be even more important.

    Reds 2023

Talakai is 31. Prop prime. Great bench man for any team. Eloff and Talakai are under contract through 2024. Pone is available after 2023. They might have just forced him out, going from potential first choice THP and Wallaby hopefuly, to guarenteed 2nd fiddle, even if Eloff switches sides. I...

    Rebels 2023

Not a bad tag team Pone and Tupou - almost as great as the Skelton/potgieter if we saw it.

    Brumbies 2023

Vannek over Kautai and Ross. Are they available?
  8. upthereds#!

    Rebels 2023

Well Pone will be going from 1st choice tight head and wallaby hopefull, to guaranteed 2nd fiddle. Eloff is already signed through originalyl as a THP but can shift across. Talakai is now a wallaby and is also a THP. They won't have the money to keep Pone who will want an upgrade, but with...

    Reds 2023

Need Pone in 2024 (he will be off contract this year) and now they have Eloff, Talakai & Tupou for 2024+. Orr will be available also.

    Rebels 2023

Think they had to double down on Tupou BECAUSE they missed on Kerevi. Still a mistake to lose Kerevi, but good to get tupou on 2 years at a slight discount because Japan has STRICT medical processes. Pone to Reds, Orr to Brumbies, Eloff to LHP and Gibbon with Talakai as the bench.

Got a young child and another on the way I believe. Probably a good offer to stay (though obviously not a euro offer) especially the 2024 when a few will leave and his stocks will rise. Hit the market after that.

    Reds 2023

Exactly - so getting selected in Aus A as a LHP didn't mean much in terms of 'rating him'.

    Reds 2023

Just on the Australia A selection - what other LHPS did he beat for a spot in the squad? He was behind Bell, Slipper, Sio, Gibbon and Robertson. Who does that leave? Faulkner and Orr?

    Wallabies 2023

I did say I was going free for all. .... The interview with eddie was emphatic. He said ' everyones available for selection'. Then he went on to say whilst he understands the law, he will be "having a chat' with the bosses to discuss it. It was around that if leaving someone out because of the...

    Wallabies 2023

HAHA I'm going with a free for all for selection. Eddie in his interview clearly wants everyone available - putting it forward if NOT selecting someone makes it harder to win the WC, then its a bad call - Wallabies need to do well for australian rugby to do well - for popularity, money etc. All...

    Waratahs 2023

how many international 10s are short? Not ideal to make a comparison with a halfback. No saying a 10 can't be short, but not the best illustration

    Wallabies 2023

McKellar will be gutted. Surely he thought he was next in line, now that path is closed (most likely). Even if he stays, perhaps coz of cost of sacking him also, he won't stick around for 5 years waiting for another shot at the top gig.

    Brumbies 2023

Frost did really well, but I don't think a Rodda/Frost lock combo would be great for example - lacking some engine room grunt. Frost Skelton is one I'd like to see. If we get stuck at 3 overseas players (quade, kerevi & koroibete) then ok give rodda and frost a go but yeh - hesitant.

    Brumbies 2023

Get the forward machine rolling again. Get the best players on 4. Swain 5. Neville 6. Frost 8. Valetini 7. Samu 19. Hooper 20. Brown

    Wallabies 2023

2 x 15s plus an extra Hooker, Prop and Halfback. Sometimes the 4th lock/6th backrow is a single utility man, like Mostert so a 6th prop can be taken.
