I acknowledge your statement that Scots did not have their best team on the paddock, but that was equally the case for Greg's and Keebra!

LOL@MOTH for his brilliant and witty comments like the "flat earth society" and "look for the sun rising in the west". I take it the the devil will be going into the ice cube business soon!

Gents, I am somewhat close to the Polynesian community and generally speaking rugby isntheir first love; and league second! Admittedly my view is changing as first and second generation Polynesian-Australians are becoming increasingly exposed and weened of the western Sydney league culture. The...

Correct LG! Auggies is flooded with Manly juniors, many of whom are very good dual coders, a fact I have alluded to on numerous occassions in the past!

Easiest way to sort out this conumdrum is to invite the likes of Keebra and company to the Scots' sevens! And TBH Keebra do not even send their best players. The respective NRL clubs frown upon this activity if you get my drift.

2012 National Schools Rugby Sevens Tournament

SS, The point I was trying to make is that such schools have the requisite (league) talent to perform well at sevens rugby! As my quote states, "probably carve it up in sevens". As for being one of the better league schools in NSW I need only point to the respective track records of both...

Acknowledged :) The fact that Conolly and Demsey were selectors is encouraging. Now to adapt something similar to the SJRU and NSWJRU.

    Australian Junior Rugby Union

Don, First and foremost let me commend you on the good work you do for grassroots rugby! I cannot speak for QLD but from my personal experience in NSW, there is a better chance of a talented player being recognised in school rugby than there is at the club rugby. This is reflected in the...

Most agree that 5% of all HM lads will make it to the NRL. However a much higher proportion will make it through to the NYC (or Toyota Cup) level. To that extent I agree with Lily concerning choice. For obvious reasons my management ethos is premised upon using either code as vehicle to a...

And a Toyota Cup lad can always return to rugby a more disciplined professional if he so chooses to do so later on!

As much as I agree with your sentiment, I believe it will probably come down to dollars in the end! The lad is that good I'm afraid. And Placid will be on the same radar! You can expect him and his family to receive an approach from Paul Bunn of the Melbourne Storm (ex-Broncos recruitment...

The 13. Stewart was a Manly HM junior once upon a time, and an exciting prospect at that! Prior to entering Scots he attended St Augustine's where in 2009 he made the NSWCCC League team and then the Australia U/15. At the 2009 U/15 ASSRL championship Stewart was voted player of the tournament...

Bruwheresmycar, Firstly I love the name, my son seen it to too and started walking around the house with his fake Maori accent pronouncing it! Reminded me of a adverstising billboard in Bondi a lot of years ago where (I assumed) some Kiwi wrote graffiti on it with 'AUSTRALIA SUX'. A week...
