Quade apparently set up 3 tries for Souths so maybe it's a thing.

So was Lance injured or something? I think I heard them say something about him being injured or something, but I wasn't sure.

I really don't remember...:p I do recall saying the only way I see him getting into the 23 is if he is the backup halfback.

What's going on with Nick Jooste? Wasn't he in the Squad or something, he was in the 10's squad and looked pretty good. Likely a better prospect than Teti Tela or Lachlan Maranta.

I thought after the trial games and the 10's it was close but Ready should get the nod, it was interesting that Thron said this week that Ready 'has been working hard, waiting for an opportunity.' So perhaps he'll have turned that corner. He and Latu really should be Wallabies by the end of...

Is this confirmed or rumour? Would they like Nabuli early, I'd be happy to send him at this point.

Anyone else find this a little odd. Presumably one of Timu, Korczyk, Wright were going to make way for Higginbotham next week, so why bring in ASY (Angus Scott-Young) now? I do agree it's been tight between Wright and ASY (Angus Scott-Young) but it feels a little like building ASY (Angus Scott-Young) up to tear him down -- surely you wouldn't keep ASY (Angus Scott-Young) in...

Yeah, this is right on what my concerns are, we need to be either picking for right now (surely Quade), or picking for the future (Stewart). In my opinion, Lance should only really be in the side to ease the transition into Super Rugby for Stewart; we are yet to see him fill that role as Stewart...

I just really struggle to see the advantage of starting someone who isn't going to be here next year when you have a young replacement (many think clone) who will be. I mean I could understand if we were on the verge of making the grand final, but best case for us is making the finals and...

Whoa! Whoa there Brumby! I'm pretty fond of the young kids, and I'm optimistic as fuck but even I don't think they might win the comp. At a minimum not with Lance at 10, we just won't have the attack from our backline. Maybe Stewart will play even better than he did in NRC, Timu will start...

I think the QRU have already viewed him as gone. One of the members thought the Reds had already made this decision; this could just be that the particular member is somewhat out of touch, or that the decision has already been made they just didn't know it wasn't 'made publicly' yet.

Sorry, I was meaning criminally, Higgers had a few thousand dollars in fines (IIRC) and Smith was held for like 21 days or something. Hunt had a $300 or $600 fine (IIRC). I was more trying to say Smith and Higgers according to the law at least did way worse stuff. I think Hunt won't be playing...

Oh, I have no doubt Ready would need to climb off the bench first (baring injury). I do think Mafi has been a bit of a wicket keeper thus far this season, if you haven't noticed him he's probably doing a decent job. But I do think at his best Andrew Ready is probably the best hooker in Australia.

At least when he was first signed Karmichael was as much a signing to play as he was to bring people to watch. It's the classic 'sign a good player' at the expense of the team. It's flawed logic but has some logic to it, the only way to bring the fans back is to perform on the field. I think...

God I hope Ready plays. Not sure if it's because Thorn has no other options or because Ready is finally meeting his standards, btu either way Andrew Ready is a brilliant thing for our forward pack. He'll likely improve our scrum, and is so good over the ball. He'll definitely be useful against...

    Reds 2018

Well, Karmichael is apparently going to be available at some point. (Article here paywall :( ). The ARU are likely to allow him to play, but if the Reds play him or not is probably a different question isn't it, with Toua playing well and Lance looking to be an option at 15 if needed; is...
