    Reds v Bulls: Round 4 - Suncorp

No, I think against the Bulls it'll be really important how they approach the forwards battle, the Reds would be one of a handful of teams who can mussel up against almost anyone. But I'm not sure if against the Bulls it would be the best strategy.

    Reds 2018

This is my understanding, I'm not 100% sure if you have to completely start over or if there is some kind of 'discount' or something but in 90% of cases they get capped pretty quick for some scrub match somewhere.

    Reds v Bulls: Round 4 - Suncorp

Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how Thorn approaches the forwards battle, I do think if any pack had the size to front up against the Bulls it would be ours. But you would think it might be smarter to go around the Maginot line than through it. And I'm just praying that Will Huston keeps...

    Reds v Bulls: Round 4 - Suncorp

So that is my post from January, and a few people did point out Jake White followed him from France (just referencing it for clarity). I did say the only way I'd see him in the 23 is if he covers 9, I do think it's possible given McDermott hasn't been all that impressive. But from my above...

Reds vs Brumbies, Lang Park, 2nd March 2018 @ 7:00pm AEST

Yeah, this was more my problem with it, I get punishing a team for missing the field goal, but a penalty is a penalty, they other team is being punished. It would be like saying you infringed at the breakdown so I'm going to flip a coin if I get heads they get 3 points if I get tails you can...

Wouldn't this really punish teams missing?

    Reds 2018

My understanding is it doesn't given he's broken that 3 years of residency, it needs to be 3 years of residency before the selection, not 3 years at some point in my life. I recall there being issues with a South African in Ireland or Scotland or something. But regardless I don't think Cheika...

    Reds v Bulls: Round 4 - Suncorp

What like 5 people I spoke to have said DP is probably our best back right now?! Had he not been yanked he'd have been a real contended for MotM! I think the issue is more with Lance than with Paia'aua. Also I looked into Lucas (if you'd like I can find the post about it) he's really not...

    Reds v Bulls: Round 4 - Suncorp

I suspect the ARU would try and fuck it up.

Rebels vs Brumbies, Friday 9 March AAMI Park, 7.30pm

With Genia at 9 you or I would probably do alright. But the Rebels do really need to find someone to fill that black hole at 10. Geina is filling the gap but the longer he has to do that the more of a toll it'll take on his body. If they can be convinced to pick up Quade Cooper (the ARU are...

    Reds 2018

Yeah, Perese really grew up after that U20WC, he has cut out a lot of those bone headed things he has a tendency to do, and would really put guys away on the chase. I think for him it was largely just having that responsibility and gaining the confidence really did him wonders! He's so close to...

Reds vs Brumbies, Lang Park, 2nd March 2018 @ 7:00pm AEST

I do think this is largely the approach most teams want to take, but I think too often they don't take the pure moneyball approach but I think the Wallabies are a good example of a team who try to exercise that gamesmanship and too often fail. I actually think if you aren't kicking 80 odd...

Reds vs Brumbies, Lang Park, 2nd March 2018 @ 7:00pm AEST

I think the key for the Reds was that they took the easy goals. I couldn't find one of those graphics for it, but most their goal attempts were frankly very easy, no more than 35 out fairly in front something Tuttle is kick more than 90% on. These are the goals Australian teams need to kick...

    Reds 2018

This is why I think at this stage (while some of us won't like it) Thorn is the ideal type of coach for the Reds, even if he turns out to be an awful coach (not saying he is or isn't, just that we don't know yet). At a minimum what you know you are going to get from Thorn is a team who are in...

    Rebels 2018

Does it count for both the Reds and the Waratahs, if the Reds vs Waratahs game has 20k+ because if the Reds have a halfway decent chance of getting up they'll probably make that. Fuck we love to hate the 'Tahs.

I hope so! I think we literally won't have an alternative next year.:D:confused::cool:

    Rebels 2018

Oh, I don't disagree you can only beat the teams in front of you, but at the same time there does look to be the possibility of the Rebels being a flat track bully, they didn't really appear to assert their dominance until after their numerical advantages really started to take hold. Not saying...

    Rebels 2018

Honestly, I'm impressed by the 11k all things considered. Also that 'just get it done' type win will do more for the crowds than either of the Rebels type of wins. On that, what is the consensus on the Rebels two from two is always good to see, points difference is really impressive, but...

Super Rugby Round 3, 2018 - Sharks vs Waratahs @ Durban

So are we expecting anything unexpected? Or will the Warratahs be put to the sword?

Reds vs Brumbies, Lang Park, 2nd March 2018 @ 7:00pm AEST

Re Stewart, he looked very good in the trial games and Brisbane 10's. It's tough to really say how much distance there is between Stewart and Lance. For me it isn't so much that Stewart is the outright better player, but I think he is going to enhance the backline better linking between Tuttle...
