I'm pretty sure Simon Raiwalui had Fiji for four years not 9 months. I'd like to contend also that England were starting from a better position than the Wallabiles 9 months out from the RWC.

In the same, just thought it was interesting to put in the thread. However you should see the furore over O'Keefe being given the other semi! Lots of people saying he shouldn't be there as it will affect who plays NZ in the final. (I think some people are dumb)

My high school was in the Bill Turner Cup when I was there 25 years ago, didn't do brilliantly, kept getting smashed by the Bowral and Bathurst teams. I wasn't the most athletic guy growing up so never played, I kind of regret it now

Any chance Gardiner will get one - or is he on the outer these days?

Bokke by 15. Soap Dodgers to try and shut any rugby play down and bore the Bokke to death and get Farrell within distance of the sticks, but the Bokke won't have any of that I think.

RWC Oct 15 2023 1/8 Final Ire vs NZ.

Yeah, and the same underlying problems would still be there - shoved under the carpet. As much as I hate we've gone out in the pool stages, I'm hoping - just hoping, that this has actually galvanised the head honchos to do something to go towards fixing it

No, but if we made the semi's - what do you realistically think would happen? Everyone from Hamish down would say "nothing to see here, we made the semi's it's all good"

Watching the Eng - Fiji game, and if you haven't seen it, it's worth it. Even just to watch Raynal totally blow off Farrell when he's whinging about a call.

To be fair, I tipped Ireland to win, and was expecting a SA v Ire final. I initially was leaning to a France win too, but I always figured there'd be some SH teams all the way to the end.

RWC Oct 15 2023 1/8 Final Ire vs NZ.

That was a cracker as a neutral. I figured it would be close, but I thought Ireland had the goods, but they've still got the quarter final hoodoo.

I just don't see RA dumping EJ (Eddie Jones) and doing their dough. It's a bit like a game of chicken - who's going to blink first? And if he does go, I can't see Bernie, Cron or Coleman dumping their current gigs for the Wallabies gig right now. How many times has it been said here that we rush coaches into...

Yeah, that message is totally different to the one put out here: https://www.smh.com.au/sport/rugby-union/brumbies-boss-slams-appalling-takeover-bid-from-rugby-australia-20230929-p5e8kk.html Well, ok, maybe not completely different, but definitely a softer approach.
