    So where to from here?

Light, Palu will be out. Even if his hamstring is 90% I'd rather leave him home for a series of meaningless tests than have him out for another 6 months after that. McCabe looks like he needs a break. Two shoulder injuries in less than a month, he'll probably be needing some serious rehab...

    Robbie Deans

I think Nucifora will get it. McKenzie's committed until 2013, Nucifora isn't. He's been in the set-up for a while, which works in his favour. As long as we pick a scrum coach, hire a full time kicking coach and set out a proper game plan we'll be fine.

    So where to from here?

I think we start from the Spring Tour. Cut anyone who isn't performing. This includes players who make no impact, players who have attitude problems, players who cannot/will not defend, players who give away penalties, props who can't scrummage etc. We need to pick a game plan. Work something...

    2011 Team Of The Tournament

    1. Healy 2. du Plessis 3. Castrogiovanni 4. Charteris 5. O'Connell 6. Kaino (Form player of the Rugby World Cup. Unstoppable) 7. Pocock (A close second to Kaino) 8. Parisse 9. Weepu 10. Priestland 11. Ioane 12. Roberts 13. Nonu 14. Clerc 15. Dagg ------------------ 16. Moore 17. Figallo 18...

3-2-1 Wallabies best on ground (RWC semi final)

    3. Horwill 2. Elsom 1. O'Connor

    So where to from here?

A couple of things a) Sack the coaching staff. At least Deans and Williams. We've made very little progress from 2007. In fact, we've probably gone worse. b) Select forwards strong in the set piece. Should be a no-brainer, but we've lost countless games on poor scrums/line-outs. No point in...

    Well done boys

Not a great performance in terms of skill execution, but a brave effort nonetheless. Good to see players like Horwill, Genia, Moore, Elsom, O'Connor etc. getting involved and displaying guts.

    RWC 2011 SF1 - Wales v France

Holy shit, didn't think it warranted a Red. It was dangerous but there's been a whole lot worse that has gone with less punishment. Big blow for the Welsh to lose captain, fetcher and their best player in one hit.

RWC 2011 SF2: Australia vs. New Zealand

Either Ben Lucas or Jono Lance would step up into #10 with QC (Quade Cooper) at fullback linking up with Digby and Davies on the wings.

Russia to Bid for 2023 World Cup

Plus funding isn't drained by stadium construction. Allows all funding from government/iRB to go into the development of the game/advertisement of the RWC, which is a win-win situation for all nations involved and the iRB.

Russia to Bid for 2023 World Cup

My preference for the next RWC location is Italy. They're the only 6N/3N member not to have played host to a RWC match, and they're getting stronger every year. They have a plethora of high capacity rectangular stadia (see below) so there'd be no need to spend billions on upgrades. Plus, Italy...

RWC 2011 SF2: Australia vs. New Zealand

Agreed. He's not the physically imposing behemoth all of us Wallabies supporters want coming off the bench, but his work rate is phenomenal. A lot of people have completely written him off, especially since the Ireland fiasco, but he's not the useless player that some people would have everyone...

Russia to Bid for 2023 World Cup

Regardless, a successful bid would be excellent for both Rugby in Russia and the iRB in general. Just looking at Wikipedia, they included 15 stadiums in their bid portfolio, with 9 proposed and only 6 built. All of the stadiums (both proposed and completed) had capacities over 40,000, with one...

RWC 2011 SF2: Australia vs. New Zealand

When Beale came off against USA, Barnes went to #10 and Quade went to #15. Worked pretty well, but it was against a minnow, so it's not a great indication of how he'd go against the AB's. But he's basically played half of his game time there for both club and country in defense, and he's done a...

    RWC 2011 - Quarter final 3 : Springbokke v. Wallabies CLOSED

I understand what you mean. It'll serve as a good wake up call and it will likely result in a complete overhaul with both coaches and players. Already PdV has quit, and Smit, Botha, Matfield etc. announced their retirement/overseas contracts before the tournament. Can't wait to see how the new...

    Post RWC Retirement List

Peter de Villiers quits as Springbok coach Peter de Villiers quits as Springbok coach Thank God for South Africa's sake. A great talent pool squandered by a complete fool. I think Coetzee is the frontrunner for the top job, seeing as Meyer has signaled he's not interested (although this...

    Post RWC Retirement List

This list is a combination of confirmed retirees, players heading overseas and those in their 30's who haven't made it official yet. They might play another season or two, but no more RWC's. Argentina: Mario Ledesma Rodrigo Roncero Martin Sclezo Patricio Albacete Julio Cabello Felipe Contepomi...
