    Brumbies 2012

That's just stupid. Alexander and Palmer are easily the best two props in the squad. Palmer's obvious strength is his scrummaging, whereas Alexander is noted for his ball running. Can someone tell me why, with this being so, so obvious, that they'd compromise their scrum by not only regularly...

    2011 Team of the Year

If we're going off the whole year then: 10. Rhys Priestland. Really stood up to the challenge throughout the RWC and Wales looked a much worse side without him. He also performed admirably during the warm-up games, and without another prominent competitor he gets the gig. That's not to say he...

    Brumbies 2012

Not 2011 specifically, just in general.

    2011 Spring Tour

As would I, but with Graham Henry coaching he might favour Thomson (either consciously or subconsciously).

    Brumbies 2012

    1. Alexander- arguably Australia's best prop throughout 2011, with a knack for ball running and improving his workrate around the park 2. Moore (c)- Australia's most consistent forward (after Pocock) all year, with accurate throwing, valuable ball running and great leadership skills 3. Palmer-...

    2011 Spring Tour

It'll be very interesting to see who starts and in what position. The Telegraph has reported that Sam Warburton is in the squad as well, and Bakkies Botha had been previously confirmed. How is his Achilles coming along? I'm guessing Roberts and Mortlock will be the centres, so that leaves Sonny...

    Waratahs 2012

I think Fatcat would make a great captain. Controversy free, intelligent, great player, leads by example on and off the field. Plus he's a mighty prop!

RWC FINAL - New Zealand vs France

That looked really nasty. Poor bloke. Brave effort Aaron Cruden. Allez les Bleus!

    2011 Spring Tour

Completely irrelevant and idiotic. I understand you have your views and political inclinations, but Mike Horan's political career has no effect on James O'Connor's ability to play #12 for the Wallabies.

    2011 Spring Tour

Lee, Agreed about Kepu- much better at #3 than #1 and hope he gets a run there. I wouldn't take Mitchell either, I'd take Morahan as well, I just think Robbie will opt for the former. Same as Samo/Hodgson. I really hope Deans takes Tapuai over Ant Fainga'a though. Fingers crossed.

    2011 Spring Tour

I think the core of the squad will pick itself. There'll obviously be some contention for the last couple of seats on the plane to the UK, but I highly doubt we'll see any selections that are completely unprecedented. With Robinson, Vickerman, McCabe, Beale and Cooper all ruled out injured, and...

3rd Place Play Off - Wallabies v Wales.

I'd rather we take Lucas than Phipps. He's more experienced and more mature, and I think he'd perform better.

    RWC 2011 SF1 - Wales v France

Really impressed with Yachvili/Parra in the knockout stages of the tournament. Not to mention Clerc and Medard at the back, plus the firing back-row combination of Dusautoir-Bonnaire-Harinordoquy. Key players performing well in key positions. Lucky they've come into form over the last few weeks.

    ONE TEAM - positivity thread

Lachie Turner is the player for that role, if we could only teach him: Run first, kick later. He kicks away possession far too much. He's the fastest winger in the country and he's got a great skill set, plus he shows maturity. Don't know why Deans didn't use him more often. He performed really...

    Ch9 RWC coverage

Please tell me this is some sort of sick joke. This is a disgrace.

3rd Place Play Off - Wallabies v Wales.

I'm not saying he's a good 'Super Rugby type' player either. I don't rate him and I simply mean that his skills don't warrant a place in the Australian side. In fact, I wouldn't have him starting for the Reds next year. I honestly think that Tapuai and Harris are better centres than he is, and...

    Robbie Deans

I think the game plan at the Saders was clear. Belt it down field into touch and win the ball back. It was obvious, and seeing as the potential of our young 'X-Factor' backs (O'Connor, Cooper and Beale) is also obvious he revolved the 'game plan', or lack thereof, around it. A lazy effort from...

3rd Place Play Off - Wallabies v Wales.

Anthony Fainga'a is not a test player. He's shown repeatedly this year that he has no "special connection" with QC (Quade Cooper) and his supposedly world-class defense has been upstages in terms of both tackle success rate and defensive reads/positioning. Get rid of him. Tapuai, Horne, JO'C, AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)- All much...

    So where to from here?

I like Saffy. He's a good tackler and he's pretty gutsy, but I don't think he's as good as Gill or Robinson. I'd be looking to take a few untried players who could come right in 2013. Dan Palmer, Ben Tapuai, Liam Gill, Ben Lucas especially. Take the Morahan approach- don't play them in a...
