I'm finding it increasingly hard to see the Wallabies in a glass half full light.
The game today, though close, still reflects poorly on the team for making a lot of basic mistakes.
I see some positive moments and improvement from individuals, but as a collection of players they looked like it...
My favourite media quote -
"if it bleeds, it leads "
Yes, I understand how the media works (or doesn't ) as well as anyone, and don't think the team should function based on media speculation.
But -
These problems have been around for a while now and no matter how the media beats it up...
Bench him - get in first.
To be honest, this Wallabies star mentality is all wrong and needs a serious correction.
No one player on a Union team is really the star are they ?
The other 22 must be doing their bit for Folau to look good in his role, no matter how talented he his.
I wonder how...
I don't think 'cattle' is the real problem though it's always an entertaining discussion from the couch.
The same 'cattle' have had a great Super season against kiwi teams and not for the first time.
IMHO, it's team mentality when compared to the AB's.
Their individuals just flat out seem to...
KB (Kurtley Beale) is still trying to girly slap some opposition players in the tackle while To'omua was making hits.
Our defence tonight was shocking.
James H was at the Bathurst training day and I didn't recognise him at first.
He looks much leaner than of late and very fit.
I'm not sure how he fits into the current Wallabies, but you have to admire his team spirit and passion.
I haven't seen the game again in the clear light of day, but in hindsight -
The opening game was much to important for experiments.
KB (Kurtley Beale) was an experiment that had no place except perhaps if Foley was injured.
I think it's safe to say that Foley would have at least been more settled in the role...
I don't get it.
Wouldn't you play a side heavily weighed towards the Waratahs so soon after their victory over NZ?
White was poor.
Beale was out of place.
The bench came on too late.
sigh.
Hi Reg,
By clipping I mean the input level peaks and your voice totally distorts for a second or two.
I listened to it through a home stereo, good headphones and in the car - it's a constant.
It might be the quality of your mic ?
You could also try backing away from it a bit and see if that...
Hi Reg,
Your sound quality on the podcast seems to be suffering recently ?
There's lots of clipping on your mic while the others seem pretty good.
It was very bad during the (excellent) Larkham interview.
Anyway, love the podcast ..
Makes a lot of sense from a business perspective.
At the jr. rugby yesterday there was a lot of pressure from the boys for dad to pony up for some Bledisloe tickets...:D
The AFL and soccer have been working the school as well - and we have to keep that rubbish down.. ;)
