Not sure if it has been mentioned but I'm not sure why the kick Cooper got to the head when he dove on a loose ball wouldn't also warrant a red card? It was accident but there was clear direct force to the head. Didn't even warrant a penalty.
Seems to be a double standard between impact with...
The only long term solution, in my opinion, to increase the market share of rugby in this country is to have a trans Tasman only competition. They can add a champions league type of thing with South African and Japanese sides and maybe Argentinian as well.
The big benefits:
- NZ and Aus play...
Biggest issue Cheika needs to rectify immediately is his leadership.
Great leaders have positive and confident body language. Great leaders don't blame others. Great leaders take responsibility and show a vision for the way forward.
Stand up Michael. Ignore the pot shots and bad luck and...
I think Phipps was very good vs Wales and happy to see him start. Still hope Cooper gets some time though but even if we are 20 up or down I seriously doubt it will happen.
We are only fluctuating because we have been losing.
If we had won the games we were favoured to win then we'd still be in second, oh and not getting beaten by a shitload every time we played the ABs would help.
Our performances are getting better as the year has progressed but there is no...
Without a doubt they were disciplined, but 5 or 6 would be disciplined, 3 is the ref missing things (obviously the obstruction being the big one - even missed on replay).
Err. 2nd in the world surely isn't expected to go 6 from 14.
Even if you discount the NZ games it is only 6 from 11. Pretty bloody average if you ask me!
In saying that I'm definitely seeing signs of improvement.
Agree. The 13 wasn't an issue.
It was the 3 that really stands out. There is no way that the Irish were that disciplined. In fact no one can be in rugby if you want to actually win.
Even a win here probably puts this year as a fail but pushes the EOYT to a pass.
We haven't won any games that we weren't expected to while we have lost games at home that we should have won.
A win in this game would be the only upset we've caused all year.
There was two clear reasons we lost that game plus another minor reason:
1 - Ireland very clearly got the rub of the green in regards to referring. At least two tries came off the back of the additional leeway he gave them.
2 - We are still making way too many mistakes. Pushing passes and...
It what way did it get 'well and truly smashed'. Because of the result or because how we played?
I only once mentioned that I thought we would lose. In the end it came down to Spedding ignoring a 4 on 2 chance near the line and a field goal missing by 1m in regards to the result.
In...
I completely stand by my opinion that it would have been better to rotate say 3 players per game in each of the first three rather than 11 in one game.
Better for continuity and better for the new players coming in while achieving a similar result in resting key players.
I think it is rough to blame it all on him though. Looks like he has been asked to defend in about 3 different spots!
No idea why the coaches think that putting a bunch of new blokes together then get them to defend in a convoluted structure is a good idea.
Slipper is definitely getting smashed and it has been happening most of the season.
With Godwin Id like to see him straighten the attack more, or even swap with Kurindrani and provide the second ball player out wide which we are missing without Folau or DHP.
