There are already 20000 tickets sold so the crowd will be fine. The Gold Coast supports test rugby better than Perth (18000 for Argentina last year and 25000 for Springboks this year), so all this talk about the GC losing the test is just stupid.
It's pretty good when we have a nursery of fine rugby players to draw upon for the future. Thanks. Have you got a few recycled Argentinians lined up to replace your exiting players next year?
And by the way, we all agree over here that Richard Graham is useless. We are angry that in the strongest rugby heartland in the country, he has done this in less than a year.
...and yet Brisbane hosted the most successful Commonwealth Games in history, and that was 32 years ago. Yep I think a provincial Queensland city like the Gold Coast is up to the task even if certain capital cities (cough Perth, Adelaide cough) couldn't even organise a decent bid to compete.
