Time for some new Aussie blood in this team - perhaps even a new coach .(?)

Let's accept that we won't win this championship for a few years, pick some promising up-and-coming players who are prepared to give it a real go, and let them at it. What is the point in persisting with this current crew? I mean - Samo: great bloke, but what was he EVER going to do tonight that someone 10 years younger couldn't have done?

And let's leave the ref out of it. He did a good job.

Using that logic the ABs should turf Kevin Mealamu. Age is not really relevant tonight, for mine it was just stupid errors, many of which were made by the younger members of our team.

EDIT: Oh yeah & the ABs had something to do with us losing too.

I'm off to rest, & ease off on the drink so I can be good to go for the 2nd game later.

I felt that Pocock was dragged down to the performance level of the rest of the pack rather than lifting them up as he has done on other occasions.
Whereas McCaw had some key injections. Pocock had a very quiet night. Wonder how those guys sitting on the bench feel. Thanks for the great seats?

No logic sorry AS ... Just fury and frustration ....

I fully expect Phipps to be there next week - because it's hard to drop him when he gets no minutes.

Oh - fuck it - none of it makes any sense. Deans is a fucking idiot, so why bother.

Forget the ref. blame our squad. Men Vs boy STILL!!!
not blaming the ref for the loss, I actually thought he helped the wallabies out. Thought he ruined the flow of the game with some pedantic decisions. But you are correct, a very poor performance by our lot. At this rate I reckon the Argies will do use.

Meanwhile, 2 of the 5 forwards remain fairly unused. Why risk not carrying an inside back if you don't use them!

Exactly. And if we had gone for a 4/3 we could at least have thrown cooper on the park to change it up.

Genia, ioane and sharpe are about the only ones that could hold their heads up.

Watching the Wallabies press conference is sad.

The fitness and intensity of our forwards was the big difference.

Think back to the Brisbane Bledisloe last year. Our forwards were intense and in their face, and we won collisions. This game our forwards were walking after about 20 minutes. At this level it is disgraceful.

The worst thing is that I can't see Deans making any changes are next week.

The scoreline flattered us tremendously. We were absolutely fucking abysmal, and the All Blacks rolled us in a canter. We're going to get buried next week.

I think we could get a real touch up next week. Picked a defensive side to minimize the loss and we we were never close. The ABs will get a lot better next week. If nothing else they probably won't bomb a few tries to keep us in the game.

I'm not sure, it could have been just after that.
Perhaps tone down the overly aggressive nature of your posts a little next time you go away and come back too?
Have just finished rolling around on the ground. I love how the Oz zealots show such venom in describing McCaw as a cheat among a host of other 'aggressive' comments about all black rugby, yet seem unable to recognise their own hypocrisy labelling another as a 'joker' is considered aggressive. At the risk of also offending the sensibilities of the refined Australian supporter, put away the make-up, lock up the hand bags (yes, the door is open...) and lets face the truth, this soft underbelly is the reason Oz rugby is where it is. Stop whinging and do something about it on the field!!! If McCaw is in fact getting away with cheating, then do something about it.

please, no righteous comments that such tactics are beneath Oz rugby...I still remember the liverpool kiss delivered by Tommy Lawton, the cheap shot on J. Marshall by G. Smith in 2003... Not saying NZ haven't done our share, but...

I really wasn't going to comment, but too funny for school.

The Wallabies losing by 8 shouldn't be sugar coated too much by the fact the All Balcks butchered a few tries.

I will say that Nathan Sharpe was impressive tonight and seems to be getting better as he gets older, pity he won't run around for one more year.

Now to the bad, starting with the obvious errors from Kurtley Beale contributing to 10 points that should see him benched next week, but won't happen with Deans. He was the backup to Barnes if he got injured.

Next week should see Quade back and Barnes shunted to 12. And move AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) to FB. Horne will stay at 13 as he is already on the teamsheet template. If Drew Mitchell is being picked on the bench then he should be in the starting XV.

I thought A Fainga'a was disappointing considering he is allegedly a defensive specialist and was shown up. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) didn't do himself any favours in the first try but KB (Kurtley Beale)'s mistake was worse.

Would love to see Shipperley but Eden Park isn't the place for a debut.
