I am tipping, Badger, Turner, Carberry and Johnson Holmes (on name alone) to be standouts for CHS and have a great tournament.

Good luck to all the boys, be great to see plenty of these boys go on to higher rep honours

Does history repeat it self ??? I guess we will have to wait and see, however back in 2015 in the u16 CHS 1st XV team came up against the GPS 1st XV and were defeated convincingly -

Pres XV A 29 def CHS I 0

The CHS team must improve dramatically on their 2015 form to be competitive against their GPS counterparts for any of their players to have opportunity of higher honours.

Bo Abra (Stannies) and Connor O'Brien (Pats) big chances for NSW honours this season based on what I've seen, as well as a number of Auggies boys

Its been a very long hiatus for me where it concerns the G&GR Schools pages, anyway I am hoping my old friend @Lee Grant and @Hugh Jarse are both still walking in the land of the living ... ;) ... Moving on, can anybody tell me when the U/16 championships are scheduled? Are they still being held at Knox? If so are they still held in or around early July (during the school holidays) at Knox?

Having looked at the teams for the U/16's I have a dark horse for you all to consider (pardon the pun as the lad is of Polynesian origin), his name is David Vei from the CHS U/16 team. David's name will appear as Tevita Vie (which is David in the English language). This kid is a gun IMHO, and is my smokey for NSW U/16 selection. Given my opinion I would be keen to hear the opinion of others where it concerns this lad.

With all that said I notice that Brad Gill is still the head coach of the U/16's; he has been around for a while now.

U16s are held the weekend 24-25th June @ Curagal.

On the subject of coaches well done to Lachlan White and co on being promoted from NSW2s last year to NSW1s. A just reward.

Any results from today's ISA, CCC, CHS and AICES matches today? Better yet any players really push their claim for a NSW jersey with a stand out performance?

I only saw CHS II vs AICES at the trial at Pittwater. As is the norm for the last couple of years, AICES put up a good fight against CHS but where overwhelmed by size. For AICES the number 8 and 13 stood out as quality players whilst the CHS 2 number 13 was a quality player as well. Theres probably way better players in all positions but these boys would fit into better squads easily. As for the CCC Under 16 team - my goodness they will take some beating. best Under 16 CCC team i've ever seen.
