Given that this is a 'rugby' website who of this years rowing fraternity look like lining up for their respective school 1stXV?
Tom O Hara, 2025 (First four this year) played in the Firsts on the weekend on the wing, talented rower who didn't row in year 10 but came back this year and worked up to the first four. Made GPS 16's in 2023.
Jack Pinn, TSC 1st VIII stroke is training with the 1's and 2's and will probably float around their for the season, talented flanker with great mungrel.
Sam Stewart 1st VIII powerhouse year 11 was a 16a's player last year so might play in a high team but also could be more focused upon the 8 man sport.
Many first junior boys are currently in the 16a's for footy, Hugh Merriman loose forward, Charlie White winger and stroke Max Crawford at halfback. Halfback not the usual position for a rower but Crawford makes it work despite his height at about 6'0 and a half. Has also played flanker in the past. Many other A's players around the 2nd and 3rd junior as well.
Conrad Low, (1st VII Cox) is looking to lead the mighty 16e's to a premiership, notably in year 8 he scored
5 tries in one game against SJC (true story) in the scots 14e's who were undefeated that season. Conrad is known for his left foot step and fend, which rival cox
Johnny Yates, will be looking to shut down this year. Will most returning rowers be training in winter rowing in some form? Lot of the Scots boys are, UTS seems to be the favourite.
