ACT Brumbies 2026

Wallaby Way

Herbert Moran (7)
Anyone know anything about this Louis Bartley-Saena chap?
He is a clone of Christian Lealiifano imo and plays 10 (primarily) or 15. Goal kicker and has played locally with Vikings for the last 2-3 years.

I also saw that Koko Saleem (Winger) is training with the Brums for Super AU. I'm pretty sure this was his first season of Union with Queanbeyan following a RL background.

Glad to see him at 15. Done the hard work in club rugby in NZ and now Canberra for years. Im pretty sure he grew up in Aus and moved in late teens to NZ and played U20s for Samoa (non-capture). Standout player in the local comp here. Good goalkicker, and has solid speed and some great footwork. Ball in hand he reminds me of Milner-Skudder, shorter bloke with great explosive footwork. Also a playmaker with his time at flyhalf so brings that element.

Tim Horan (67)
Canberra times reported a while back that they were resting him and Neville from the tournament to focus on the young players.

Brumby Runner

Jason Little (69)
Especially those from North of the Tweed, some of whom allegedly own property here but still claim travel allowance to live it up on the public purse.

Uh huh

Good fun watching the Brumbies vs Reds at Ballymore just now. It'll be good experience for the youngsters, if only in that they now know what to expect when being refereed by Nick Berry in Brisbane.

Early signs of what might play into decisions for next season:
- Creighton very strong at 13, particularly his second half defence
- Sapsford was an absolute menace on the wing. For a big chunk of the second half it was man-against-boys gear, but needed more support
- Meredith struggled at 10 but looked great at 15

That game demonstrated how important the little comp will be for development, with a clear gap between guys who'd been in the system a few years and the fresher talent. McLeod and Pritchard in particular are going to be very good but looked raw. Glad I didn't go too early pronouncing McLeod as the next Wallaby 12 on the back of club form and 40 mins vs the Lions, he had a couple of tough moments in d with Henry beating him cold off a lineout starter at one point. Agree that Creighton in particular looked excellent.

Like the look of Cordukes in the row as well, he and Shaw were busy and physical.
