Expecting Padua to steamroll Iona by 60 - Tom O'Toole and the forwards to dominate and the backs to capitalise.

Does anyone know much about the 16's? How each side stacks up.. I know Padua beat Ashgrove this year, are they the best two in the division?

Scores around the grounds?

Villa were thumped by SEC 55-12
Battle of the 9's Baker vs McDonald for AIC 1
McDonald lead the SEC pack around the park and had a hand in every try scored. Baker didn't command
Standouts from both teams
Villa: No. 14 or 11
SEC: No. 6 No. 8 No. 9 No.12 No. 15

Really good to have the game at the traditional time of 3:15 for Back to Shorncliffe Day.
Large turnout from; boys (200-300 from Pats), old boys well as a other supporters. It was a huge improvement from the Padua game where may have been 75 boys (possible evidence to change times back for next year).
St Pats got 3 early tries and had the game under control from then on. There wasn't to much put up in attack by Lauries but they played through to the end. St Pats also won 2nds but lost 3rds by a try(There was a big fight). 4 - 2 in the soccer as well for the top of the table game.

Padua 50 Iona 17, Padua look like a good team having a bad day, Iona show great fight. Final score not a great indication of the type of game.
standouts Padua 4 and Iona Fenney Centre/Fullback

oh yeah, this 1.30 start has to go without doubt the smallest, unenthusiastic crowd I have ever seen at a school first game.

Ashgrove 44 - Peters 14

Absolutely dominant display from Ashgrove against a poor peters side. Was honestly expecting a lot more even match, not too sure what went wrong on Peters side.

Standouts: Ashgrove - 12 (Sullivan), 3 (Adams), and the halves (Day and De Flavvis) all played really well.
Peters - the outside backs in particular the 13, 8

Padua won 50-17 over an improving Iona team. In the first 20 minutes both teams struggled to get points on the scoreboard due to the swing of penalties. Iona's kicker denied the team an early penalty kick 10 minutes in but managed to put one over minutes later. Padua demonstrated a lot of skill with a half time score of 24-3. Throughout the whole game Iona showed a very strong spirit going up against the predicted AIC premiers for 2015 and kept their heads up and never gave in. When you thought the Padua team was only going to settle down, the confidence of the forwards and spreading of the ball from the backs allowed Padua to score many tries from outside the 22 metre line. Iona's defense was disappointing at the end with a full time score of 50-17.Jack Peoples (8), Tom O'Toole (1), Zach O'Donnell (11) & Lawson Creighton (10) all performed noticeably well with individual talents from the Padua team. St Peter's in round 8, is going to be a very exciting match at home for Padua (Banyo).

No Ash v SPLC results in the paper this morning but with the exception of the 1sts and I think the 13A's, St Peters did not score a point yesterday.

12A 50-0
13A 72-7
14B's 68-0
14A 29-0
15A 29-0
16A 71-0
2nd XV 90-0
1st XV 44-14

14A, 15A & 16A were all very close to half time, then Ash ran away in the second half. 14A & 15A St Peters were helped by lop sided penalty counts, but that's not taking a dig at the St Peters efforts. Most teams tried hard, but were just overrun.
