I strongly believe Ashgrove, Iona and Padua will finish top 3 in the 2016 season. The standard in AIC has dropped, but surely will increase within the 2016 season and next 5 years.

IONA 2016 Team Prediction
1. Tim Albion (16A's/1XV 2015)
2. Angus Barker (2nd XV 2015)
3. Joel Bunigh (3rd XV 2015)
4. Tom Bisset (16A's 2015)
5. Teal Dovey (VC) (16A's 2015)
6. Leslie Allen (16A's 2015)
7. Nathan Marshall (VC) (1XV 2015) - Emerging Reds U18's
8. Morgan Bishop (16A's 2015)
9. Thomas Cain (15A's 2015) / Cooper Clayton (16A's/1XV 2015)
10. Joseph Ward (1XV 2015)
11. Jay Keenan (16A's 2015)
12. Brandt Quinn (1XV 2015)
13. Callum Fisher (16A's 2015)
14. Nathan Albury (16A's 2015)
15. Will Feeney (C) (1XV 2015) - Emerging Reds U18's

Tim Albion is way too small to play front row and will get dominated by other schools and also Joel Bunigh is definitely going to Terrace.

Iona prop's will likely be Angus Barker and Stephen Pritchard. Tim Albion possibly moves to hooker. All three are quite small for front rowers. Will be dominated by other schools. I will admit that Albion is a very talented loose forward and enormously strong for his size - can squat twice his body weight.

The Villanovan forward pack, especially their front row will be very tough to beat, each with over 100kg's between them combined with brute strength

IMO Iona have a decent shot of making it to the top three next year with the likes of fly half Joe Ward, Fullback William Feeney, Flanker Nathan Marshall and Winger/Centre Brent Kwon all returning for the second year and all have good talent. Although Iona do lack size in the forwards and centres . What's everyone else's thoughts on Iona and the players listed above?

As a follower of Iona rugby, their tight 5 will be dismal in comparison to previous years and the rest of the AIC. Scrums and lineouts will be embarrassing to watch.

I strongly agree with you Derick! Iona has been hyped up to something that most likely isn't going to happen. Particular players in the Iona team are going to carry this team, not much else going for them at all.

If Tom O'Toole is staying at Ulster next year, that is a huge loss for Padua. Any ideas on the Marist side?

St Pats, Padua, and Marist have always had the stronger forward packs in the past couple of years in 1XV, especially with St Pats and Padua who have outstanding props.

underdogs Villanova and Iona forward packs have been hitting the gym hard and will be bringing alot of raw size and strength the AIC competition and other schools St Pats, Padua and Marist should look watch there backs when their on the pitch.

Who would be considered the brutes of both these teams?

Don't all 1XV forwards hit the gym hard? and don't they all have raw strength and size? That's why they're in 1XV. It really just comes down pure skill and experiance which is what Marist, Padua, and St Pats have with props like Liam Jacobson, Waldo Coetzee, Liam Usher, Tom Rafter... etc.

Lauries have some good Yr 11's coming through for next year who should make a difference. Some killer backs in last years 15 A's.

For the Padua followers out there, is Tom O'Toole staying in Ulster next year, or will he be returning in time for the 2016 rugby season?
