Not a bad line up there - quite a few sets of brothers in that, think David Shillington had a few brothers who went through there also.

Wouldn't mind seeing a St Pat's equivalent side - Dylan Napa, Drew Mitchell, Jayson Bukuya, Skelton brothers (4), Sikimeti, Connors, Jesse Mogg, a fair few young SPC boys running around Premier Grade as well.

Ive the feeling that they have underperformed this year.
If SLC could only beat Pats by 7 and MCA beat them by 48 (8 tries) I rekon SLC may be in trouble next week.
Good to see Villa looking strong.
Local / Old time rival games are the best:
Ash v SLC or Padua.
Padua v Pats or Ash.
Villa v SLC or Iona.
SLC v Ash or Villa.
Iona v Villa.
Eddies and Peters who cares.

Lauries didnt play there best against pats lauries should have ran in 3 to 4 more tries but didnt due to careless handling errors. It will be a close game between SLC and ASH

How many players were Lauries missing against St Pats? Apparently St Pats were missing some players too..

one player they were dropping a lot of ball against pats, however yesterday lauries were pure class. i do think MCA will beat lauries by a try or two

It will be what it will be. Teams have off days and dont or cant play all players - but thats excuses for a loss or a poor performance. You turn up, play and get the win, draw or loss. Having a much stronger Villa and SLC will be good for the comp this year with closer games.
Based on the results so far, MCA should be favourites for next weekend but an upset is possible if SLC believe in themselves. MCA are very strong and have speed across the park. MCA bench is also very strong with the 2nds flogging Pats yesterday. MCA 1XV didnt play that great yesterday as Pats played a cramping style from the outset and were more focussed on MCA than their own game plan. MCA still managed 8 tries to nil. So that is premiership over for Pats. At this stage after round 2, based on stats, Villa and Lauries look abt the same formwise, with MCA ahead by a couple of tries.
Tips later in the week.
Hope not too many injuries and looking forward to round 3.

Game of the round next week will be MCA V SLC for sure - but the Villa V Iona clash will also be a good one. Villa will be hard to beat at home - Iona always bring their best against Villa in the local derby and there should be plenty of passion on display. This is a crunch match for the boys from coorparoo to show whether they are contenders or pretenders.


My prediction at this stage ? Ash to win the flag outright and I agree Villa and Laurie’s will slug it out for runners up.

Big Day at Runcorn this coming Saturday with the Old Boys from both SLC and ASH also playing each other in Touch and Football.
