Rugby Australia don't administer the community game.

There is a (modest) distribution to the Victorian Rugby Union to run the community game in Victoria.

I am more talking about the connection (not administrating) - If you're not on the East Coast you never see RA anywhere - WA, Vic, even QLD

Who do you want to see and where?

Victoria Rugby Union Inc. received $377k each of the last two years. Should Rugby Australia instead spend a chunk of this money on flying Phil Waugh down to Melbourne every few weekends to appear on the sideline at a club game?

You need to re-read that article. The premise is about the state of the Wallabies brand falling which is seperate to Rugby in Australia.

There's nothing incorrect with what Phil said. 23 destroyed a lot of public faith in the Wallabies and RA are doing their best to rebuild the brand of the Wallabies which in turn helps build rugby's perception in Australia.

What presence should they have? I haven't seen RA down here in Nowra at Shoalie's games, am I butt hurt over it? No.

Do RA just shove a bunch of RA marketing material for clubs to splash around willy nilly (and not consistently) so that they can say "we have a presence in club land"? Or do they splurge funds that (everyone knows they don't have, and will bitch about them spending) to clone Phil Waugh/Wallabies and get them to all the various club games each week?
