The sage

Vay Wilson (31)
Much better playing structures from both NSW 1 & 2 for their fairly impressive wins today.

The jury still out on the both the Queensland teams for mine. Whilst they both had good wins today, not convinced on both of them. There is still a chance that both will miss the one's and two's playoff on Saturday. That said Qld 1 may nudge out Vic, if Vic losses to WA (highly unlikely) or Q1 points difference is better in case of both winning (still very difficult for them).

So I think maybe NSW1 v NSW2 for the decider of who win first place and CS v Qld1 for the third and fourth place payoff. Interesting times.

Anyone know the final score and who scored ?

Final score NSW II 18-11 Vic

Final scorer - it was a penalty goal to Vic on the bell - didn't write down who kicked it but it's in a photo.

Before that was a NSW pen goal - photo 18 -8

Before that NSW try - Smeallie 15 - 8. not converted.

Anyone know who the red headed CS tight head prop is? He's had two outstanding games, both in set piece and around field. This boy can scrum and gets through a heap of work.

Going off your description of his scrummaging and work rate and after seeing him play on monday, I would have to assume you are talking abut Bo Abra from St Stanislaus. Very solid around the field and unlucky not to make either NSW in my opinion.

Thanks Lee, I missed a big chunk of the second half when streaming died, had no idea of the final score. I was mystified as to why VIC kicked a penalty goal for the last play. (Do they get a bonus point for a 7 point loss?)

Yes they do.
4 points for a win
2 points for a draw
1 point for a loss by 7 points or less
0 points for a loss by more than 7 points
1 point for scoring 4 or more tries

Highlights [mine, not the streaming ARU footage] of NSW v Comb States this morning. I was down the wrong end for many of the tries. Be sure to put it in HD.

@not in straight, if you are looking for NSW 2 footage, they usually sell DVDs of the games at Riverview. IIRC it is $20 per game.

If you can't get there to place an order, you can usually order the DVD from their web site. The company web site is usually named in the program. Some one who has a copy of the program from this year may be kind enough to post the web site details.
