Brumbies v Waratahs Rd 12 Sat 3rd May @ GIO Stadium 7.35pm AEST

Good to see leota off. He really offers nothing. Not sure why you’d have him start of leafi who’s actually going to be with the tahs next year

He makes one good point. Why not have Lancaster playing, put Suallii in the midfield and then we aren’t subjected to absolute D grade flogs like Walton
Maybe. Manly are ass in 1st grade and Easts had 8.FLW (Fergus Lee-Warner) 9. Grant 10. Bowen 12. Vaihu

Makes life pretty sweet for the Wingers.

Eh, Super Rugby has been overall really poor in officiating and it wouldn’t have swayed that result.
Foketi’s apparent knock on was a catalyst for what was a 14 point turn around. Then when Gardner let the deliberate knock on go that allowed a try… his officiating allowed 21 points ignoring the clear and obvious offside at every infield kick. I’m actually more disappointed in Gardner than the loss

Well that was a hard watch.

I was really impressed with how the Tah's bounced back after that openning 20mins, but then they just didn't back it up. The individuals are there for the Tahs, I'm not convinced its an athleticism or skillset problem, but the IQ and process isn't. So many individual moments lost which cancelled out all the other moments of good work and effort that occured in patches. You see the connection falling apart in places where as the Brumbies were so much more cohesive.

Good points but the way the Tahs played I feel they can’t focus on that and just need to work on themselves to finish out the year.

Gus is always an overbearing group Mum type.

That's one team with minimal roster changes year to year where as the other had a 40% turnover with entire new coaching staff

The dominating teams tends to get the rub of the green. I felt that the Brumbies were pushing the offside line on a few occasions and the breakdown is a bit of a mess at times, from players sealing off, hands in the ruck, taking players well beyond the ruck. Lonergan looked to have shot up before the ball was properly out a couple of times. Things like Muirhead getting called for not supporting his body weight on a Tah's break, yet no penalty being given was odd when it gave the Brumbies line an age to set. But all that said, its the same things we see in every game.

The Tahs have enough to fix of the things within their control.

Only 40%?

And yep, a byproduct of the historic poor continuity, planning and player development at the Waratahs as a organisation. You see the benefits of better roster management at the Reds (in recent years) and the Brumbies in contrast to Waratahs and the Force who are very much dealing with high changeover. Worrying thing for the Tahs is it wouldn't surprise me if they have another large round of turnover at the end of this year.

You create your own luck.

Refs go with momentum no doubt and while they can shift it with a shit call, if you’re good enough you’ll dominate the majority and get most results.

Disappointing but not unexpected tonight. Own it and move on. Big result for the Brums and the table. They stay in touch with a potential top 2 finish. Reds lost that chance and the Force have it all to play for next week or it’s probably all over for them as well.
