Well UC are the Brumbies major sponsor so don't think you can compare it to a partnership.
Well the Vikings would get everyone spending money at their club when going to games for a start. And a pathway for their players.

Isn't the Vikings Group a major sponsor of the Brumbies as well, with out all the fanfare of a name etc... I'm sure I read they are..

I like to watch

But the Wallbies aren't called the Rebels, don't play in Rebels colours and don't play all their home games at Rebels HQ.
Just saying....

Guess the Proof will be in the pudding tomorrow, Saturday day game out at the Viking Fortress, against some shabby Spirit team.

Think we done it to death at the moment :), Grants supporting the comp by going for the Eagles, which is good.

Maybe in years to come the teething problem will lesson and they will come around, or maybe not.

I think supporting a country team would be great... ROAD TRIP !!!

Just imagine that Easts didn't help from the Eagles and your team was called syd uni with one Easts player selected and they played the games at uni in uni colours, I don't think you would be too enthusiastic about that!

This analogy would probably work better if I wasn't cheering on the Stars last night.

Or planning to go and watch Rams vs Rays next Thursday.

I'm interested in the rugby, there are players of interest in every single team and I don't really care who wins. It's a new comp and I'm passionate for the competition and the rugby, not so much any of the teams. At this stage they're all new and I don't believe I need any great affinity to any one team to enjoy it.

Much like the ITM Cup, I have a few teams I like more than others but generally when I watch a game I'll pick a team I like a little bit more and go for them. If they lose, I don't really care that much because I'm not that invested in it.

I don't feel I need any great investment in a team or the competition to spend $20 to go and watch a game live or watch the Thursday night game on TV.

It would be pretty awesome in Sydney with all the teams and games to get too.

Players are picked on form......

It's not a socialist utopia where every team gets an even number of selections....

How many Rebels players in the Wallabies XV? 0?
True teams should be picked on form. When comparing the rebels we should use the weakest team in the comp, Easts who don't have any players! I suppose the whites are like the brumbies in this sense, the second best team. The brumbies have 5 starting players compared to the waratahs 7. In the Vikings squad are 11 Tuggeranong players as opposed to QBN 1. Just a little bit of balance there!

Sorry just saw the Easts logo and thought your support would follow those boys in the eagles team! Agreed it is very exciting to have this competition!

OFFICIAL MOD STATEMENT!!!

Enough is enough! Move on or we will move you on!! We all know where everyone stands on the Vikings issue and there is nothing more to add.
Sorry thought this forum was made for people who were passionate about their rugby to express their opinions and respond to other peoples opinions. I am enjoying reading other peoples opinions even if I don't agree with them. I don't think I will change their mind and they probably won't change mine but I think that it is great that there are people out there as passionate as me about our great game. It's exciting this new comp, I wish there were more games on fox but I think that will come in the years ahead! Good luck to the teams that everyone is supporting! Anyway I'm off to the canberra comps MacDougall medal, I really hope Dan Penca wins it just to prove that the Vikings really haven't picked the best of the best in the John I Dent! Hahahaha! Hope the people going to tomorrow's game enjoy it! See you with my eagles top on at that game!

Rule 10.

10. If another poster does not understand or agree with your point after 3 or 4 attempts, LET IT GO, WALK AWAY. It is very boring for other posters when the thread gets hijacked by two people having an argument. Let this be your guide:
