Waverley vs Cranbrook 16As Number 20 was Tom Fuller had a strong game in the centres. Jaya had a good game as usual, as well as Ben O'Sullivan, Liam Smith, Liam Molloy and big Ethan Micaleff is nearly back to his best in his comeback after injury. Jackson Mohi scored a length of the field try for the 16Bs in his first touch of the ball in his first game back after a long lay off from injury.

C v W 16A's

20 Tom Fuller, came on early in the first half, after the number 8 came off with some kind of injury around the collarbone/shoulder area, which caused a reshuffle in the pack. Has a great offload and runs the ball extremely well. Waverley 15 had a strong game, ran well and has cemented his spot in the side. Good kicking ability also.

I agree Slaven is a great player and should be in the side but Leo Bosch has been playing 15 since year 7 and should be put there for North Harbour. Bosch also possesses a superb range of kicking skill.

Early prediction - Slaven easily over Bosch - played state at 9 and can play any position - now excelling at fullback. Can't wait to see how good the kid is at 18

Does anyone realise that the selectors don't read and pay absolutely zero attention to this thread?
Any talk about 16s selection is just wasted CO2

You're right; the Selectors won't be taking any notice but good luck to all the players in the mix.

CAS vs CHS Thurs June 5 at Cranbrook.

NSW Trials Frid June 20 Curagul Fields.

CAS will be playing ISA on Friday June 20.

To be pedantic, all 3 games for the CAS boys are trials for the NSW Shoolboys teams.
There will be selectors present at these, and the other early games such as CCC v CHS, CHS v ISA etc.

The Fri 20th June games just have everyone, and all the selectors, at the same place across the day.

It will be interesting to see the talent on display this season. The two games on at Cranbrook on June 5th will be worth a look.

Maybe the handful of people obsessed with CAS Under 16 selections could take it to a new thread?

Any predictions for 1st XV matches next week?
and a few reasons to support any predictions?

CAS Rd # 4 – 24th May
Knox v St. Aloysius
Waverley v Barker
Cranbrook v Trinity

Cranbrook should beat Trinity. Trinity will be a bit dejected, sore and tired after Knox and I am not certain about their side due to injuries and a possible suspension. Cranbrook has the best defence and I am not sure whether the Trinity attack is strong enough. Their strength is fin their forwards and Cranbrook seems to be particularly strong there. I think Trinity will need to go into the game with a positive attitude and attack and apply pressure. Easier said than done. Cranbrook has the best defence in the competition and is build on a strong forward pack and a more than useful 5/8. They will grind a side down and take points on offer. They are also at home and will probably be on the winning side of the penalty count. The main issue with Cranbrook will be concentrating on their next game against Knox and taking Trinity for granted.
Waverley versus Barker will be interesting. Barker has had a respite last week from playing the heavy weights, Knox and Cranbrook, whilst Waverley has had 100+ points scored against them in two weeks. The Barker's half and 5/8 combo should be fitter as well. Waverley rarely loses three in a row, but I think Barker may hold a slight edge. Especially in terms of depth and defence.
I can't see Aloys recording a win this week. They will be competitive for the first 15b minutes and may even hold the lead for a bit, but will be eventually worn down and possible overwhelmed. Similar to Cranbrook, Knox may be looking forward and fail to concentrate fully on the game at hand. Knox would also be wanting to show further improvement being more disciplined and more clinical and cutting down on errors. Currently Knox is still leaving more than a few unscored tries on the field. However, though Aloys will be willing and they would consider that a loss less than 35 points a good result.

MOD:
Please refrain from using the "Reply" function for very large posts when it is obvious which post you are replying to.
It is frustrating for many of our readers who use mobile devices with small screens to follow a thread.

Thx.

Both Knox and Cranbrook should win easily.
Anything could happen in the game between Waverley and Barker.
