The Cold Awakens

Long ago, in a quadrant not far from North Shore...

Rain lashes down on the misty plains of North Willoughby, cloaking the battlefield in shadows. Cold winds howl through the gum trees. Somewhere deep within the mud and the mist, a new war brews — one not of planets, but of pride.

The Jedi of Bellevue Hill, Cranbrook, descend from their mountaintop temple, led by warriors of speed and steel. They do not come for ceremony. They come to fight.

But waiting for them in the sleet, blades already drawn, is the Aloysian Syndicate — an ancient brotherhood cloaked in flair, their movements elegant, their attack surgical. Light clashes with shadow. Footwork with fury. Mud with menace.

It is Round 1.
It is cold.
It is Rugby.

Well this got way out of control.
Instead of deleting 100's of messages and slapping warnings I shall bring down the hammer.
Time for a rest.

Does anyone have a match recap from the Trinity v Waverley Game
It was a game of defense defense defense. Both teams defended well for large periods. Trinity extensively so against a Waverley attack that never seemed to click.

Waverley had forward, lineout and scrum dominance, but could not go longer than four phases without giving away a penalty - Trinity had the run of the green(one pass in particular would make Tom Brady proud) and kept going down injured, with the ref not knowing of injury time - a large portion of the second half was astute gamesmanship by Trinity to wind down the clock.

Waverley did have an attacking scrum at the end and dropped the ball - game over.

I’m not sure why Waverley agreed to a Friday night game on a field with lights that made it difficult to see the ground in front of you. But smart work by Trinity to change the set up as the 3:15 kick off is much more suited to Waverley than a dim lit paddock.

A very unexpected result there and will dent Waverley's aspirations.

Ive seen Trinity in action and agree their forward pack arent world beaters. Not surprised ot hear that Waverley had dominance. But trinity's backs only need a little bit of ball to be effective and they're pretty dogged in defence too.
