Mate not much of a prediction when you have three crews listed to win.

Kings will not win the 3rd IV. Shore are too dominate and will hold this strong lead. Safe to say joeys, Newington and scots are not contenders for the 2nd VIII race. As always, happy to be proven wrong.

It's in the boys hands now.

Very difficult to judge for minor placing (as per usual), especially for this second VIII. Hard to say Newingtons not contending if Shore is, especially after their last race (SRC regatta I believe). They beat Shore in 2nd VIII event and lead Kings 2nd VIII by a length to the 1600m only to be pipped at the line by 0.42s in the Open Mens division.

Nonetheless, very excited to see what happens on the day as really anything can happen.

Here we go: Crews are in and this is what I think.

First VIII: King’s, St Ignatius, St Joseph’s, Shore, Newington, Scots, Grammar, SBHS
Second VIII: St Ignatius, King’s, Newington, Shore, St Joseph’s, Scots, Grammar, SBHS
First IV: Shore, St Ignatius, King’s, Scots, Newington, St Joseph’s, Grammar, SBHS
Second IV: St Ignatius, Shore, King’s, St Joseph’s, Scots, Newington, SBHS
Third IV: Shore, St Ignatius, King’s, Newington, St Joseph’s, Scots, SBHS
Fourth IV: Shore, St Ignatius, St Joseph’s, King’s, SBHS
Third VIII: St Ignatius 1, Shore, King’s, St Joseph’s, St Ignatius 2, St Ignatius 3
1st Junior VIII: Shore, King’s, St Joseph’s, St Ignatius, Newington, Scots, Grammar, SBHS
2nd Junior VIII: Shore, St Joseph’s, St Ignatius, King’s, Newington, Scots, Grammar, SBHS
3rd Junior VIII: St Ignatius, Shore, St Joseph’s, King’s, Scots, Newington, Grammar, SBHS
4th Junior VIII: St Ignatius 1, Shore, Scots, St Joseph’s, St Ignatius 2
I don't agree with your first and second junior predictions, think Scots are to low, but at the end of the day it's up to the boys now, predictions don't mean much in a sport that has so many variables. Hopefully the wind stays away and we can see some high quality and competitive racing, Willy Weather which tends to be reliable has called for light wind but who knows.

Just stumbled across this video of joeys 4th IV

Intresting to see that even the lower crews make send off videos. None the less a cool video.

i think that's far too harsh on new, they've beaten shore on everything this season bar from the most recent regatta in 1 8, theyve also beaten joeys before, i reckon they're in comp for #2 or #3.

Fair predictions, but we have to consider the fact that anything can happen on the day, and some potential results that were never considered may occur. Anyways good luck to all crews with racing and will be a good day out there tomorrow.

Yes. Joeys are like this. While most schools focuses on the top crew, Joeys celebrate everyone. Special recognition to the Joeys Yr 8 2nd quad scull. Undefeated season. Even beat the 1st crew. Having the best erg doesn’t mean you make a great crew.

Good luck to all the crews competing tomorrow. For the year 12s enjoy your final HOTR, make it count, block everything out, you have trained for this.

You will always remember the race and of course, there is plenty to look forward to after March 16.

I know 'View will do well, bring as much silverware home to Lane Cove as you can boys.

Go 'View!!
