11 & 12 December.

Pool A: Fiji, Argentina, Scotland, Russia
Pool B: England, South Africa, Kenya, Zimbabwe
Pool C: USA, Australia, Wales, Portugal
Pool D: New Zealand, Samoa, France, Canada

NZ will be drafting in some players as they finished Dubai with only five guys fully fit & DJF hobbled by a knee injury. Doubtful SBW will be one of them but indications are he'll be in the mix for Wellywood & Sydney.

Looks like Hutchison, Jeloudev and Killingworth are in for Speight, Clark and Jenkins.
We're really going to miss Ed Jenkins.

Jenkins was massive last tournament. I thought Cam Clark was disappointing from his usual standards, dropped or injured? Speight dropped? He was quite poor too, threw numerous offloads to no one, run away from support often and didn't have his usual line breaking ability. Although I'm not sure Killingworth is a good replacement for any of the 3..

Pama Fou's development has been amazing, he's now our best player easily. High workrate in defence and the breakdown along with his elusiveness.

NZ heading to CT minus five of their Dubai squad: Scott Curry (dislocated shoulder), Gillies Kaka (ankle), Tim Mikkelson (concussion), Sherwin Stowers (broken arm) and Regan Ware (ankle).

Replacements are Antonio Kirikiri (Manawatu), Beaudein Waaka (Taranaki) and Ambrose Curtis (Manawatu) & Max Pearson, a 28-yo PE teacher from Upper Hutt (Wellington) who played for the Development side at the Noosa 7's.

Prediction: If/when Australia medal in 7s at the Olympics, its on the back of a few stellar Pama Fou performances. When he's firing on all cylinders, he's about as good as anyone on the circuit.

Clark has hamstring issues.

I think the team will be using a policy of rotation throughout the year, especially with the amount of new players coming in (still a few more TBA as well).

Killingworth was from Mater Maria Warriewood. Only went to Kings to further his rugby as he was totally screwed by NSW schoolboys selectors in the 16s. Hard as nails. Only ever coached against him but he was awesome. His dad is also a longtime contributor to CHS rugby as a coach and selector. Well done Boyd.

Straya off to a winning start 45-0 Portugal, young Henry Hutchison looked pretty useful for an 18yo newbie & Pama Fou now looks to be your most important player next to Cusack.

Cannot get more frustrating than the last 2 tries,

Stuff up a pass, concede a try, stuff up a kick receive, concede a try. Arse.

Bastard. Nayacavou again. Covering players should have taken him, but it's big man on little man, smash the snot out of him!

^^^^^^^^^^ Isn't that what James IV said in the Flodden pre-match interview?
