Quick hands discussing the merits of St Ignatius 1st XV on another thread

"7 tries to nil and people are fixated on a yellow card. And a loss to the weakest St Augustine's team for years in the trials."

This week St Augustine's team might use this for motivation, I doubt there will be a cue of teams lining up to get them in a "friendly" while they are vulnerable.

^^ No games for St Augustines this week (long weekend) then they have the bye on 13/6 - (ISA v CHS on 14/6, & ISA v CAS on 19/6)

Next ISA Div 1 School Game for Augies is v St Gregs on 18/7. They'll be motivated.

Possibly a Waratah Shield game before that somewhere.

Rubbish, Quick Hands is just stirring the Riverview pot. Both Augustines and Oakhill have very strong sides this year and have proved it in the trials against the AAGPS and CAS schools. History tells us its not often Oakhill or Augies beat Joeys or Riverview at the trials. Shame ISA don't get a crack at AAGPS. I am expecting quite a few ISA boys to make the NSW 1's this year and beat both CHS1's and CAS1's. Goddard, Anderson, Lough near certainties. Macrae, Robson, Donato and Nettleton can make it if they perform well in the trials. Don't be surprised if a couple of ISA2 boys find there way in the NSW teams as well.

^^^^^ Two ISA 2nd XV made it to National Championships last year, with one going on to represent Australian Schoolboys from Combined States after not catching the NSW SRU selectors eyes. Rough diamonds in most teams just waiting to be given a chance.

@Pilot, do you know who is in the ISA 2nd XV list for 2015? Which of those boys do you think will make it to National Champs either through NSW All Schools or Combined States?

Thanks Hugh

I cant bag anyone for There their and they're any more, as my week/weak and cue /queue mix up changed the meaning of the post significantly

Sorry don't have the full 2XV team list but I assume Fraser Toohey, Elia Faatui, Ryan Chelvarajah, Andy Graham and a winger from Oakhill #14 Dalores would be in the 2XV ISA team and ones to watch for NSW or Combined States selections. There are around 4 or 5 Oakhill boys and I am sure other ISA teams would have a few good players as well that may surprise. Can any other supporters of the other ISA schools add some info on players to watch? Maybe another Yeomans amongst them. (BTW Yeomans didn't look out of place in the Australian Schoolboys team did he?) Is he still playing?

Is anyone going to be at Rat Park on Sunday that can give match reports, photographs, an actual ISA team list, or score updates from U16's or Opens?

Tips ISA Div 1
13/6 round 3
Augies v The Bye,
Stannies v St Gregs (Bathurst), Stannies are always tough nuts to crack at home and will win by >15
Kinross v Oakhill (Orange), Oakhill are on a roll and will win by >25, despite the travel.
St Pats v St Pius (Strathfield), Pats at home will win by >30.

Tips ISA Div 2
Round 6 - 13 June:
Central Coast Grammar vs Redfield - Redfield will be undefeated Premiers in 2015 and will win by 25+.
All Saints vs St Andrews - The Choirboys will survive the travel across the mountains to take the chocolates by 15+.
Chevalier vs Redlands - The Southern Highlanders at home will be far too good and Daylight will be in second place as the Chevaliers put 30+ points on Redlands.

I'll be there on Sunday. I'll see if I can get hold of a program, or at least keep track of scores.
I may be able to photograph something - but don't know how to put the photos up on the forum. Showing my decrepit old age, sorry.
