So with the top 4 all decided, huge games this weekend to determine who will finish where.

Did you have anything else to add, outside of stating the bleeding obvious?

The massive clash for mine is Wests vs Queanbeyan. Wests have been building nicely, and look like a side that has plenty of points in them. Whites on the other hand will have been stung by last weekend's result. Would be expecting a pretty physical encounter...

Ease up mate i thought his comment added a bit.
Think I'll head to Viking Park tomorrow to watch Vikings.
More covered seating there compared to Jamison.

I think the Vikings will get up by around 15-20

QBN by 1-3 - in a close battle

Uni Norths and Easts - Uni Norths by X amount

Final Ladder -

Vikings
QBN
Wests
Royals

I don't even think if Royals won today, Wests lost and also Wests Bye next week that anything will really change besides Wests/Qbn going either into 2nd or 3rd - I think there is around a 15 point difference between 3rd and 4th at the moment...

That being the case do you think Royals and Tuggies will go hard at it today or keep the powder dry for the finals?

Queanbeyan beat Wests 20-18 after third time lucky with a penalty goal at the death after a Wests player deliberately knocked the ball dead from the previous shot.

Queanbeyan looked good early but had nothing to show for it and Wests were up 18 3 and it was basically a game of 2 halves with a lot of penalties at scrum time for either side. before Queanbeyan launched their comeback late in the 2nd half. The Wests defence did pretty well and held out a good 20 odd phases on 2 occasions before the late penalties against them.

Do Royals have any players coming back who might make a difference come finals? They weren't at all impressive today. Tuggies played well in ordinary conditions. Iona controls the pace well and Powell must enjoy the ball he gets from a solid pack. The Royals 10 was a turnstile in defence and Tom Staniforth must have taken a million runs without bending the line out of shape too much. For the life of me I don't know why Pedro takes line kicks when there are other good boots in the backline with more orthodox reliable kicking styles. More importantly, it might be a big call but I'm putting it out there that the Tuggies canteen has the best catering in the JID. I'm was impressed with Gunghalin for a while and you get a fair feed at Campese, but I'm saying Tuggies have it at the moment - Vikings/Gunghalin/QBN is my 2015 top three of canteens - views....

The only player I really saw that was missing was Tim Cornforth - or has he gone overseas again? Other than that the 1st grade side looked pretty normal to me - but as mentioned above have not heard much from Royals this year so possibly could be been resting some 1st graders...

Their 2nd's side got up V a tuggies side that doesn't seem to be firing to much this year - there seems to be a VAST GAP between tuggies 1st grade and 2nd grade side this year...

Good to see Oj Noa back named in 2nd grade for the Whites - guessing he is back from injury and will be back in 1st grade next week/semis? I reckon he is the best No.8 in the Comp.

Royals were missing quite a few players. Thought it would be obvious with a completely new back 3 (1 of them being a forward). In the backs they were missing craig mcmahon, tim cornforth, ben johnson, jamie bodman and tim cornforth (thats 5/7 for those playing at home). They also dropped down 2 of their first grade colts age players (harry buery being the most notable). In the forwards a big absentee was tyson tamihere, as well as the other second rower nathan selwood. So thast basically half a team that will return for finals so don't write the blue baggers off just yet.

On a separate note, did anyone see the head injury to one of the royals second grade players? Reliable word has it he was stomped on by the tuggies 15. Does anyone know what sort of punishment this behaviour would entail?

Was a nasty looking gash, didn't see anything resembling a shooing let alone a stomp.

Probably should have put these in from earlier in the season too:

Wests v Queanbeyan highlights

Vikings v Royals

Uni-Norths v Easts

Also, I note Vikings have been live streaming some games which is a good initiative and maybe a sign the NRC games at Viking Park may also be streamed
