Apparently they are, though I struggle to find anyone that cares. If you take away the flares and the crowd violence from a soccer game, all you have left is a soccer game.PLEASE don't tell me Shore are good at soccer.

Azzuri, your comment about no need to change the 100 year old Comp then the hypocracy etc,as a come back,is twisted,WHAT many of us are really saying, which I think you know,is that the the current system can be improved,no more complicated!
Bottom line is there are a major group of school heads thinking through all of this.
You can get the odd knob head in a group like this, but generally they are quite intelligent people, who understand culture, history etc.
Why don't we wait and see exactly what the outcome is and then comment.
No. I mean that many parents think that if their sons don't play A or B grade they should play another sport....."don't waste your time playing in the Ds"....or "the school should offer another sport". They are missing the point of school sport (ie playing competitive sport in a team....etc) because as you say you can assume that virtually no one will make it to the top.You mean the parents who can't see beyond the fact that some tiny percentage of kids who play rugby at GPS schools could make money from it and therefore expect a little more for their money than a rugby premiership?
He would get my vote . if Pulver and co over saw Rugby in decline at Shore, how can we expect him to do a good job at the ARU!VOTE 1 MATHEW BURKE
I think we now have feedback on New, Joeys, Scots and Shore, Anyone want to have a go at picking a Riverview or Kings 2017 1st XV?
Also High, Grammar and TAS?
Alternate views to those posted also strongly encouraged!
When posting it would be great to know what year the players are in and previous gradings
J
hfth,
I hope that is wrong,I have many good shore mates who would be livid if so!
Another example of mummy, and other sports winning out.
Now that you mention this, and I guess you know, then I would hope that the GPS posters who have had difficulty in embracing a new order, can.
Would be nice to hear their thoughts again given that at the end of the day, regardless of association and in terms of the bigger picture, we ARE on the same page.
I would think the following lads are in contention for Kings first XV for 2017
1. Dougal Hicks (first XV in 2016) - AAGPS White
2. Ciaran Loh (2nd XV in 2016 - some First XV experience)
3. Jonathan Papantoniou (2nd XV in 2016 - some first XV experience)
4. Mac Williams (first XV in 2016) AAGPS White
5. Tbc
6. Nick Pepper (2016 16a?)
7. Charlie Brown (2016 First XV)
8. Sam Loch - (2016 16a's)
9. Henry Robbo
10. Matt Minogue (2016 16a's)
11. Eddie Mann
12. Eddie Poolman (2016 2nd XV)
13. Ben Duckworth (2016 First XV) AAGPS White
14. Lachlan Apps
15. Tbc
80% of these lads also had the benefit of participating in the Dec 2015 Tour of England and Italy
Looks like a strong side there Az and further evidence that 2017 will be another close comp.
That is akin to thinking daylight saving fades the curtains.and injured players will only have limited opportunities to make it back on the park in time for the end of season.

It will take them the same time to recover and, as ever, it depends when they get injured.
Sheeeez
In the words of Joe Bjelke Peterson..dough, dough, don't you worry about that IS!!!
Yes of course nothing changes with recovery times but an injury requiring three or four week recovery effectively puts paid to the season for a player in a five game comp.
That's a pretty good start FH23. I believe Kobi Ned has left the school. Not sure who 5/8 in thirds was this year. Vince Creagh was 16a 5/8.
A few others in the mix. Used your list and added a few with grading in 2016 that I could find:
1) Julian Heaven 16a (pres b prop)
2) Lincoln Blackhall 3rds
3) Fiu Gibson 3rds
4) John Yates 1sts
5) Sam Abbey 2nds? Or Max Swanberg 2nds
6) Tom Sutherland 2nds or Liam Scolari 16a
7) Paddy Dalton 1sts
8) Cody Edstein Boyes 2nds
9) Dylan Dowling 1sts
10) Vincent Creagh 16a (pres A 5/8)
11) Lachie Shortis 3rds
12) Jack Quinn 2nds
13) Triston Reilly 1sts
14) Tyrone Janson 3rds ?
15) Joe Kandalaft 2nds
Others to look out for who would be in the mix from GPS 16s presidents teams and strong players
Jo Dalton halfback (Pres a reserve)
Mackinley Croft 16a fullback
Xavier Ryan centre 16a (capt) (Pres a reserve)
Zac Cay centre 16a
James Bourchier 16a prop (pres a reserve)
Maclean Dombkins Hooker (Pres a reserve)
Jet Williams lock (Pres B reserve)
