Green and Gold GPS match reports - photos requied

Going to a 1st XV game tomorrow, with a decent camera?

Would be great if you could take some photos for including in the Green and Gold match reports.

If you think you can help out, let me know here (or send me a private convo) and I can let you know the photo requirements so that the pics can be published.

HTR I would think "disarray" is a very strong term to be using.

Given Joeys have just come off a Rugby Camp, I would imagine the changes have come about based on health, form and combinations.

As to whether they are a better combination as a result of the changes, we will have a better idea after Saturday. I am sure the coaching staff are in a far better position than us to make that call...

My understanding is that they have made a number of changes, 4 or 5 at least, of which at least a couple were for non-rugby related reasons.

My mail is the backs are:

Dowling, Creagh, Scolari (Flanker playing on wing), Eveleigh, Ryan, Kandalaft and Chan.

That backline has a much more solid defensive feel to it esp with return of Eveleigh and selection of Scolari ahead of a specialist winger but a fair amount of toe with inclusion of both Ryan and Kandalaft. Reilly, O'Brien and Shortis all now in 2nds, at least for this week.

That's some pretty big changes/gamble - moving a flanker onto the wing. He'll need to be quick & understand the position or could be made a fool of.

View will be pleased (not in a bad sense) about some of Scots' injuries - all class players. Given the Blue & White's form in the first round a win by 5-10 is very plausible. Will be compulsive watching & can't wait.

Suspect Joeys will try to play a fast paced game.

There is some serious pace in that backline.

Joeys have a very mobile forward pack as well.

Looking forward to seeing Tom Eveleigh back from injury. He and Scolari are very strong defenders.

Rich, can't seem to start a private convo with you. I'll most likely be at the KvJ game tomorrow, so will try and take a camera if son will let me. Let me know what your requirements are and I'll try and get a few shots.

JB if you could take photos at K V J that would be fantastic.

I am writing the match report and we would all love some photos to go with the report. Certainly something better than my phone :(

Hi Rich,

Who are your choices tomorrow, and who have the home ground advantages?

Hey WLF

My tips are Scots at home by less than 10 over View. Scots will be too strong in forwards. They have some injuries in backs, but the replacements are very good players too.

Kings at home by less than 5 over Joeys. I think Joeys will improve on their performance in round 1 against Scots, but Kings will be better - just

Shore at home by less than 5 against Newington. I reckon Shore have one win in them this year and this could be it.

Oki Doki Rich,

The weather is looking very good, and we haven't had any school rugby for some time, AND the comps are at a turning point, so seating will be at a premium at the bigger games.

P.S. I will tip Joeys, New and Scots.

Why would Reilly be playing 2nds? He just came back from a 6 week break from injury to be selected for GPS and CS. So on the back of his CS form why would coaches be selecting him in 2nds? Joeys obviously don't want to win this game if they wasting him in 2nds.

Didn't he play the game they play in hell during the hols

Kings by 12+.. the double grilled sausage on a crusty bread roll has the rowers lot covered well across the park. Reilly in seconds is a master stroke of selection... not!

View by 7+ over an injury depleted Scots. With both school canteens serving the same standard fare you'd find at travelling circus be prepared for a dour arm wrestle that will probably be decided by the scabby crust of a mass produced Woolworths pie

New by 3+ . even though the shoremen possess the incomparable MOAP (Mother of all pies) the big Newie will gain the ascendancy in the dying minutes of the game with a late try or penalaty goal to take the chequered flag.

Joeys by 6 in an upset over a lack lustre Kings.
Scots by 20 overpowering View in the forwards. Yassmin unstoppable out wide with 3 tries.
New by 18 despite a valiant effort from Shore they are outweighed and outmuscled in the set piece.

He's not playing 2nds either. Understand he has been stood down....as has 2nds 5/8 Gibbs
