From what I can gather there is a Newington Silverbacks side due to their heavy presence on social media, unsure as to what grade they actually are could possibly be the 5ths?
I just checked their instagram account and there was a few posts about it getting postponed and something around their being to many injuries. Unfortunate for all the boys if they can't form a team. It's been a tradition for a while now.

The question on the tip of everyone’s tongue. Who is more influential to their team: Grover to View or Galligan to Shore?
Grover is the leader of the team and all the team does comes off his back whereas Galligans physical presence, lineout dominance and leadership carried the Shore team forward.

Any thoughts?
Grover without a doubt, he may even be the most influential in the GPS. Coming into the year i had it between Grover and Sheck but now that Sheck is injured (still in doubt) i have given the edge to Grover.

I dont believe he has signed a full time deal yet as too young but he is entrenched in the sharks juniors. id be surprised if he doesnt end up there
He is signed with the Sharks until 2028.

In the TAS vs Joeys game, who had good performances/standout players from both teams? TAS must be strong if they were able to go toe to toe with a Joey's team that has been red hot this year.

There is still the intention to play but some injury issues at present are preventing them

Will SJC get a bit turnout at the Death Star on Thursday? Obviously it is compulsory for the Joe Boys to attend every 1st XV game and with a much win game for them this weekend, will they consider giving the boys an early mark to go and support their school? Same with TKS, what is the prediction for their crows on Thursday?

anyone know when the glorious king Heamasi Makasini is set to return. In my opinion his the best player in the GPS but the new boys have shown some extreme depth and skill to get over their opposition without him.

Word out of Stanmore is that he should be available this week. Will find out on Thursday.

I was at the game. Joeys came from behind in the 2nd half to win by 24-18. They just wore TAS down in the final 25 minutes with very efficient play and were probably a bit more match fit. But TAS played well - they have some outside backs with speed and some big forwards. I expect that they will trouble some sides this year, especially at home in Armidale.

Given the various issues with the forum last week, I was unable to publish my usual round 1 preview and report, but I plan to recommence prior to round 2 of the 3rd XV competition which is Saturday 14 June.

Grover hands down - game management is second to none and maybe best in the GPS. Galligan similar to Sidwell in presence - so missed for sure but not to that extents if Grover was outs.

Shore 1 and 2 line outs functioning well. but they need to choose better their long ball - why throw to the back where it’s 50/50 when you have front and middle jumpers in both teams who are winning theirs and stealing others! Too many over throws on balls to the back which are that are less effective. They also have a solid scrum options - but miss his bulk to bend the advantage line.

He was playing a different game v Scots it seemed. It's the best I'd seen him play before. Run, kick, pass and tackling all in a class above. Had a bit of a mare goal kicking though.

Sometimes you just come across players that have time no matter what and he's one of them.
