Had to leave. Started to take a turn. Found myself wandering around. Was able to get a ride home from a mate. Sorry. Missed pretty much most of the second half. Resting up now. I was warned not to venture out today. Big summary later

congratulations View.

Massive game next Saturday to decide the 3rd XV premiership, talks are underway to move it to 3:15 now that the other competitions are settled
Displace the 1sts from their final game? That would surprise me.

On the 3rd comp, presumably got to be some serious discussions again about High and Grammar.

Have to say I was one who jumped on the ref last week in the View v Scots game. I stand by it, but with that today’s ref deserves praise. I thought he was good and the game had as much flow as it could given the conditions and spice at the back end.

Joyous scenes at the Swamp. If this place had video I would upload it.

Quick gut feeling from the sideline today - first 20 minutes Shore had all the ball and were really dominant for their 7-0. They would have troubled many sides in that period. Lineout was working, piggies were pigging and the backs were looking good playing to a particular game plan that involved nullifying Grover that was largely working.

The game turned when View finally got the ball, scoring pretty easily a moment or two after. That was really the turning point. Dempsey then switched into third gear and started troubling their breakdown and likewise Spora and Reich at the lineout. Shore still looked good with the ball, but it became more and more about what they did without it.

And special mention to the View back three of Folkes, Plamondon and Lenehan who deserve a big hand for their efforts today in greasy conditions.

“Little” Brody Folkes played absolutely out of his skin. An amazing athlete!
