Just a little search. He's a tough fella so time will tell...
Not sure. It was announced in the DOR weekly wrap up that was sent out today so not even sure of how bad it is. Its one of those injuries if you can play through the pain, you cant actually make worse, so it isn't unheard of to stop playing. He will definitely be looked after but he is a tough hombre. Will Simmons be fit for round 3? I'm not sure how long the recovery is for that, but it seems like a worry if not treated with care.
Nah this is crazy, Scots have the same amount of boys at every Kings game at JS White, and either match or are very close to View and Shore at their home grounds as well. Not just for this weekend but a general crowd ranking:
1. Joeys/shore
2. Joeys/shore
3. View
4. Kings
5. Scots
6. New
The reason I've got Joeys and shore up the top together is shore usally has less crowd than the boys from hunters hill but the more. This is because its not compulsory for the blue and white men. Joeys always produce the numbers as its compulsory but only a quarter if that are fully into the chants and war cries. View and kings always produce good Home and away crowds. Scots had a simalar amount of boys there than shore on saturday which isn't amazing. Newington have mediocre home crowds, and pretty much no away crowd

I was nearby and it wasn't great. The injured player being down certainly set things off. It did calm down after the teacher spoke to the boys but it came back towards the end. Tbf, its the first time I've actually heard such raucous booing of the kicker. It 10000% does not happen at home games. Boys would be dealt with by the Seargent'sI understand the Newington booing was disrespectful and it seemed an coach/teacher told the crowd off, however there was a Newington player on the ground injured for a significant amount of time and play wasn't stopped. This then resulted in a try for Joeys down the left hand side with a one man overlap. Obviously missed by the referee and the touch-line referees too. Hard to excuse booing, particularly in schoolboy rugby, yet a somewhat warranted overreaction from the Newington crowd.
It will be interesting to see the Kings away crowds...I thought most crowds on the weekend were good.
I was pleased to see a good chunk of Shoremen out at Bellevue Hill, well voiced and great cheering from all.
Even the Newboys made the treacherous journey from Stanmore to Hunters Hill. The Iggies men are always good on the sidelines.
The standard is high for crowds this year. Lovely.

Absolute joke this list, this is the definitive correct list I reckon:
1. Joeys (obviously)
2. Scots/View/Shore (all very similar, in numbers and volume)
3. Kings (lacking numbers recently, and noise is just not there unless Kings are winning in the last 5 minutes)
4. New (obviously

I don't have a complete team list. But Scots will be missing Cooper Guerin (shoulder), Sam Alker (if suspended), possibly Aston Weir (had ankle problems toward the end of the game). There are questions involving Oliver Sinclair, the no. 10 - who missed this game due to surgery done around his tailbone - on wether or not he comes back into the team, seeing as Oscar Tremlett played phenomenal filling that number 10 role.
I would love to see anyones predicted lineup for next week. Cheers.
TRD out.
Gents,I was at this game. Look, it was unfortunate to hear the kings boys chanting the way they were, but it did not go as far as any racism or other serious profanity. You could argue that the boys are just having fun, but i'd like to think the competition looks to ridicule this type of stuff.
On another note, does anyone have a predicted Scots team list for next week? An injury to number 7 and a slight problem with number 6 could see a few changes in the team. Also, the no. 10 Sinclair looks to return from surgery next week as well.
Thanks,

Someone serious please confirm Lemoto’s status. They tried to pull this one last week as well.Gents,
Unfortunately I can't provide a full team list as its too early in the week. I have however knowledge from Scots sources at some changes to the 1st XV lineup. Number 7 Cooper Guerin is set to be replaced by Michael Oconnel due to his dislocated shoulder. Also Lemoto suffered a Labral tear to his right shoulder and is out for at least three weeks, set to be replaced by Dubbo's biggest rig Lucas Large.
Cheers
Phil
The injury was was not 'missed' by the refs or ARs. Play does not stop for injuries unless the injury is serious or interfering with play. Nor was this the reason for the booing, which happened for most kicks and began well before this incident. People need to stop making pathetic excuses for this and just own it.I understand the Newington booing was disrespectful and it seemed an coach/teacher told the crowd off, however there was a Newington player on the ground injured for a significant amount of time and play wasn't stopped. Was right next to them. Loud and proud they were. How did the Shore cheer squad go yesterday? Notoriously difficult to get out to Bellevue Hill but some great Newboys went from Stanmors to Hunters Hill
Same chant? Please elaboratePersonally, i dont see Joeys "obviously" at the top. As it is compulsory for the boys from Joeys to go out to the games, i would expect them to be way louder than they are moving them down the rank to 2nd. I must say though i like there new "footy" chant. My revised list is as follows:
1. Shore (always coming up with new chants, bring strong culture everywhere they go)
2. View/Joeys (similar to shore, they are always bringing the culture. More so view, than Joeys. Joeys only in second because the amount of boys they bring.
3. Scots (same chant every year, time to change it up)
4. King (only good thing is their cheer captain, the rest of the crowd is dead)
5. Newington (obviously)
Thanks for providing the info regarding when play was stopped. In regards to the booing, I was close by and didn't hear any booing until that incident and also only heard booing for the conversion attempt after the try, which is uncalled for. Where i believe you're mistaken is that they were making noise for conversions, not exactly booing however. You go to any rugby event in the world, there is noise from the opposing fans and not always booing. The injury was was not 'missed' by the refs or ARs. Play does not stop for injuries unless the injury is serious or interfering with play. Nor was this the reason for the booing, which happened for most kicks and began well before this incident.
