Thanks for providing the info regarding when play was stopped. In regards to the booing, I was close by and didn't hear any booing until that incident and also only heard booing for the conversion attempt after the try, which is uncalled for. Where i believe you're mistaken is that they were making noise for conversions, not exactly booing however. You go to any rugby event in the world, there is noise from the opposing fans and not always booing.
I was also close by. The booing during kicks - and jeering when they were missed - was regular. And these are not 'any rugby events in the world', they are GPS games where absolute silence during kicks is expected. The New boys know this as well as anyone. Better to stop making excuses for it and just let it be known it's not acceptable and should not happen again.

I agree with you there, @The Ruckman. I was in attendance at the game and was uncomfortable as the Scots boys were not making any comments towards the King's boys. Also, the parents were between the two crowds, there for (for lack of better words) in direct line of fire of the King's chant. With Scots old boys known for attending games, this was unsettling, and furthermore, the King's teachers made no effort to stop their students hope that this doesn't happen again to any other school that versus King's.
Then don’t come and steal the King’s Shield. Derrrrrr

Not just for this weekend but a general crowd ranking:
1. Joeys/shore
2. Joeys/shore
3. View
4. Kings
5. Scots
6. New

The reason I've got Joeys and shore up the top together is shore usally has less crowd than the boys from hunters hill but the more. This is because its not compulsory for the blue and white men. Joeys always produce the numbers as its compulsory but only a quarter if that are fully into the chants and war cries. View and kings always produce good Home and away crowds. Scots had a simalar amount of boys there than shore on saturday which isn't amazing. Newington have mediocre home crowds, and pretty much no away crowd

P&D
Scots had close to double Shores numbers.

The injury was was not 'missed' by the refs or ARs. Play does not stop for injuries unless the injury is serious or interfering with play. Nor was this the reason for the booing, which happened for most kicks and began well before this incident. People need to stop making pathetic excuses for this and just own it.

It was serious enough for a medicab to be rolled out. The booing did absolutely start from then. Feel free to watch the replay on streamer if you need to be assured. The first 2 kicks by the joey's kicker - no booing. New kid went down with about 10-15 to go in the first half and wasn't moving for about 2 minutes. In that time Joeys score, that is when the first boos happened. I was standing right next to the New contingent so I feel well qualified to query your incorrect assertions - and the replay will confirm what actually happened. Please don't make things up. Should the booing have happened? No. And the Sportsmaster did speak to the kids at half time and they didn't boo after - there were unfortunately a few old boys towards the end though who made some noise for the last couple of Joeys kicks. Whilst we are talking about the match - the Joey supporter/lout yelling out at the top of his lungs when the new kicker missed his only conversion at the end of the first half wasn't great either.....

Please. Cheering when a kick was missed, are we going there? Well, the Joeys supporters certainly cheered when the New kicker missed. Maybe not as apparent because he didnt miss as many

Gents,
Unfortunately I can't provide a full team list as its too early in the week. I have however knowledge from Scots sources at some changes to the 1st XV lineup. Number 7 Cooper Guerin is set to be replaced by Michael O'connell due to his dislocated shoulder. Also Lemoto suffered a Labral tear to his right shoulder and is out for at least three weeks, set to be replaced by Dubbo's biggest rig Lucas Large.
Cheers
Phil
Can confirm this as I have insider knowledge on the scots teams. Fullback O Large is set to be replaced by Narromine local Tom Dennis due to a Hip flexor tear. Dennis will look to play eyes up footy and use his speed and size.

We will find out Thursday 5pm when final team lists come out.

Do the team lists get released anywhere for all the sides? At Newington they used to release team lists last year for all grades, but they dont seem to be doing it this year - but not sure if the opens teams need to be released somewhere.

Disappointed when watching Streamer replays to hear the borrowing of chants and warcries. I do appreciate that it is hard to create new chants and it it’s important/necessary to draw from the chants of sports teams and schools outside of the GPS.

However, it is important to have respect and acknowledge the creativity, devotion and effort put into these chants by boys. Boys are taking the dedication and innovation of other schools, and simply inserting their schools name. I do not appreciate this. It takes away from a lot of the point of warcries and school culture, often voiding the original school from being able to do their chant because ‘everyone is doing it’ and it is not their own any more.

A specific example of this is a chant from Shore that I saw created and developed over the course of last season. I was very happy to see this creativity in the art of warcries and did not hear anything similar from any other school before, during or after. Until the TKS replay from Saturday.

Just some thoughts.

Twister.
Disappointed Streamer management haven't spent 30 minutes explaining how to film a rugby game. Please zoom out.

Hey Ruck Reporter,

Nice report Ruck Reporter, are you going to continue your 4th XV reports going?

I was also at the game and find this a little bias. Although I agree the scoreboard of 30-5 didn't do Shore much justice to say they were the stronger team is a stretch. Scots forwards ran well but were overall slow to the breakdown. On the other hand any glimpse of hope that Shore had, ultimately ended with the ball on the floor and the pigs packing down a scrum. Scots number 12 in the headgear played quite well with quite the boot on him. And the right winger for Scots had quite the game scoring a hat-rick.

Overall great game of footy all round. Looks like the Scots 4s are quite dangerous going 2-0 to start the season.

Likewise RY, will try to keep the reports going throughout the season.
