So the specialist passing coach's job is to tell the specialist halfback to put the ball in fron of his runners?
I can do that.
What's the pay?

Knowing Shore the half back passing coach will be on 130000 not including benefits hehehe. 25 minutes a week of telling a 17 year old what to do, not too shabby hey! Reckon i might be able to do a good job of that.

SHore is the week after next is it not? If Newington and Shore remain injury free after their rounds on Saturday it should be a good game. Ill be there, i hope you all will be too, mabe we can catch up for a beer at the Oxford Tavern afterwards!!! Such a shame its closing down :(

Does anyone known the score of the Sydney High vs Kinross game on the weekend? Sydney High look competitive this year with good results against TAS 1sts and Riverview 3rds.

Disrupting this beautiful thread with rude comments, deserves a solid ban. Thoughts Inside shoulder?

Watched Joeys vs New yesterday. Joeys won 21 from 24 games against New on the day.

[Deleted bit]

Great spirit from Joeys though !!!

In particular notice post #8 which is self-explanatory.

No more talk about scholarships or comments that can be construed as such in any other thread but the Schools sporting scholarship thread. You can write about them to the cows come home in that thread, which is pinned at the top of the Schools forum.

I know this is the 2013 thread, but gossip girl does what she wants, so:
Who will win the 2014 comp?

Gossip girl has heard whispers that Riverview will be stronger than most think, retaining a lot of people in year 11/12 from "socials volleyball" with many 1st XV contenders coming back to Gossip Girl's favourite sport: rugby.

Gossip Girl, your name is intriguing. Sometimes i wonder, are you really a girl? But i get butterfly's when i read the kisses and hugs you send around. So i hope you are. In response, i have also heard this, however Newington also has some giants within Volleyball, readying themselves for an assault on the rugby field. Would be keen to garner some names, if your so willing. My bet however is St Josephs to come back from obscurity, and take the title, with Riverview to take out the 2's, and Grammar to take out the 3's. Not that im against my New boys, but the percentage of year 12 in the ones is astronomical.

Interesting looking across the 3 competition tables and seeing where shore is positioned.

As someone who can remember the likes of jika travers, Chris Hawkins, and others

And you now have sons of former wallabies (Farr-jones, gregan, etc) coming through at shore

Have to say , it is one thing to resist the 'cheque book' premiership, but they have got to be kidding, a half back passing coach, 2 scrum specialists, sprints coach.. The list runs to over 15 specialists

Talk about too many cooks, spoiling the .

And they should be feeding off the back of strong chatswood rugby, mosman rugby etc

Anyway they might have to start fixating on something other than their building program

Shore pride themselves on not handing out scholarships and have provided the best possible coaches to their players to develop them.

A lot of the 'specialist' coaches are also old boys that come back to help out.

I don't see much wrong with this and seems to be the best option other than handing out scholarships.

Other than their loss on the weekend they only lost to Joeys by 5 and to Scots by 10. Its going to be tough for the former big 4 "joeys, kings, shore, riverview" of the last decade to keep up to the standards of Newington and Scots these days. Bringing in specialist coaches looks like one of the best ways to combat this.

I like Shore as a contestant to the reign of Newington and Scots. They have some talented players coming through, it will be interesting to see how they go after the loss of their five-eighth, who's name i cant quite remember. The traditional rowing school looks like its taking stroke for stroke on the way to rugby glory. And i congratulate myself for that wonderful pun. Joeys better pull their finger out soon.

it is a shame that they (the aagps) don't post results across all the age groups.

I know the cas website, was for a while posting results down to the 13as, and it was interesting to see results ... particularly when you know some of kids at various schools

seems like some schools have become so secretive ... I do get that it is kids, and there has to be some level of privacy ... but sometimes it is hard just to find details of a fixture

anyway on the issue of shore ... their results against scots, by my tally, were 19 wins, 15 losses, and 2 draws ... so probably just being too harsh

I guess I am just a fan of the smaller coaching scenarios

St Augustines seems to be for all intensive purposes ... 2 blokes ... Pappa and his sidekick

Anyone tell me if Crichton is playing? And is Max Hendrie any good [ie someone whose return is bolstering ranks] ... my scots mail is a bit dubious ....
