i believe that this weekend will outline some of the talent previously overlooked, without a doubt the amount of injuries that are plaguing the u16 ranks this season will give rise to a few new great players, especially from CHS, GPS and CAS. Predictions wise i believe:
cas 2's will give gps a run but will fall short.
A tight game between aices and ISA.
cas 1's will put it over ccc the whole game.
country and chs will be a tight game with a win most likely from chs.
Ill put my house on GPS beating CAS 2's by 50+ its stupid that they are playing each other
CCC and CAS will be close

Not a very constructive comment and probably wrong at this level anyway. Pretty similar to some of the arrogant assertions that were made about GPS in the opens before any teams actually met on the paddock. Who would GPS consider to be worthy opponents?

GPS would consider CAS 1's a worthy opponent CAS 2's will be lucky to win a game, its nothing against the CAS competition as the 1's will be quite strong, but when you have 2 teams from a 6 team comp the 2nd team is bound to be weak.

I hope the ISA and CHS teams are reading this!! Should fire them up if they play GPS (or Presidential XV - lmao)

Dermo has a point about 2 teams from a 6 team comp

he's not alone with that thought! Nominally the best 30 players from a 90 player comp (+ a few blow ins playing 1s).

I know they need an even number of teams for the comp to be balanced - but really CAS II? But then, only CHS would really have the cattle available to select a viable 2nd team, but maybe not the resources to put it on the park & a genuine President's XV - i.e. all comers barbarian style could only be picked if the various school systems interacted more regularly - oh well - better CAS II than a bye, but agree they might feature in a blow out or two..

CAS 2 were not at their best today.
ISA dominated this game (AICES).
CCC had it over CAS 1.
CHS, looks like they will fight it out with the Presidents?

I suppose it just goes to show who turns up on the day - ROCKON!!!

I agree, it's a shame they took so long to get going against CCC. Altough the score blew out a bit towards the end, CAS 11 made Presidents work very hard in the first 15mins. CAS would have been way better off concentrateing their efforts with 1 team. Would have liked to of seen CCC play Presidents tomorrow. The centers match up would have been a cracker. CHS will have their work cut out tomorrow, Presidents by 20.

I noticed that CAS I were missing Jamo Clark today. Didn't help their cause in their first game against CCC

Based on what I saw today I really can't see Presidents (GPS) being beaten in tomorrow's Championship final.

The CCC could have easily been the team to play GPS tomorrow; but when you have fwits coaching sides you get that result. A no:9 who made the ARU merit team gets 7 minutes in game 1 and no time in game 2 & a winning HM canterbury player again 7 minutes in game 1, no game time in 2. :angryfire:

Well done CCC coaching staff I'm sure the school selectors are happy you guys have probably sent both players back to rugby league.

Have to agree, there seemed to be more talent on the sideline than on the field for CCC at times. Never good when a team doesn't get a chance to do anywhere near their best. Can only hope the selectors can see thru the debarkle !!
