As these trials are held in Term 3, which is after the National Champs. All the U16 lads who played in QLD 1 ad 2 are eligible to trial for the U16's and usually have their spot cemented. ie. From last year; Satui, Timu . The only U16 players that are ineligible to trial are those who are selected to play for aus schools , for obvious reasons ie. player burnout etc.

reds fan does know his shit. i dont even remember that and i was in the trials ahhahaha :S

jack martin has been playing very well at 10 should be given a look at because if this lochey kid is any good terace wouldnt have been loseing by so much and if you go by the discription of a good 10 it mentions game winner... terrace havent won a game but may be the churchie 10 they havent lost

At list of about 100 - 120 boys is released at the end of the GPS season. The tuesday directly after if my memory serves me correctly. From there the first round of trials are held at Churchie (based on 2010 system) , were the lads go off according to specific positions for position specific drills, this is followed by internal games. After that a revised list is announced a week later. Followed by a similar day of drills and games , another revised list is announced. Followed by one day of games etc. After that the two squads are selected along with about 10 shadow players.

this 120 ish kids, is that roughly the same number from each school or whatt?

Terrace lack depth of quality doesnt mean a few players cant be of high quality e.g. Heenan, O'Rourke, Mellor, Given, Dalgleish

You wouldn't think so.. probably more so based on previous representation and coaches reviews/reports I would suggest. For a premiership winning team to have the same amount as a bottom place team doesn't make sense.

Not really, you can get a kid from a school up north who's on his own aswell as 8or more churchie , nudgee , tss guys etc. Just depends on who's inform.

Basically this is how they come up with the 120 kids.
firstly, all the U16 guys selected in the opens GPS , AIC , CSS teams plus the QLD reps and junior reds, nts etc.
2nd, (generally) all the U16 guys playing 1st XV at school in GPS , (possibly AIC)
3rd, all the guys who played in state champs U15 (met north etc.)
4th, all the guys who played club state champs and nationals U15
5th, all the guys who are performing wll in 16A's
6th, any others who have been scouted

You'll more than likely end up on the list, which entitles you to the first trial day. after that they cut it by a third or something similar to that

word has it that BGS have alot of good quality 16s in both 1sts and A's who could all have a huge shot at these 16's team. Notably former TSS second row Corneilson, a utility forward (has started at 2nd row, flanker and 8) Gilbert and a winger Radforth. GT not to be overlooked with backs Dulgleish, Given, ORourke, Heenan - and flanker power

Phoenix

Stan Wickham (3)
who are the players that were 15 last year when they made the team ( ie jack tuttle, dan preen etc )

someone write a list

that was just for downlands brandon -_-

soo you think jack martin should get a look in at flyhalf ?
because jack is a specialist scrumhalf and although has a lot of talent and fits well at flyhalf, wont get the pick over specialist a specialist flyhalf

Are there any specialist scrumhalfs that would be considered in AIC?
