The worrying thing is that this is probably Australia's best team. Who's missing? Skelton, Ikitau, Ala'alatoa, and Tom Wright. Not much else; you don't have a starter number 10
for me, Faessler, AA, Skelton, Frost, Gordon, Pietsch, Ikitau and Wright are in our best 15

Gleeson, Donaldson/Lynagh would be in our 23 normally

For the loss? Not entirely. Just for killing all the momentum that a line break creates with stupid offloads.

Please come up with a valid defence for him doing it twice. Cheers

Straw man. No single player cost this game. Convince me otherwise.

Uh huh

In my eyes starters are: Ikitau, Wright, Skelton and Ala'alatoa. Pietsch, Lolesio, Lynagh, Gordon, Frost and Potter are average at best
The outright quality of those players is not the subject of discussion though. You commented that "this is probably Australia's best team". For that to be true, you must be arguing that Edmed is better than Lolesio and Lynagh, Williams is better than Frost, Toole is better than Pietsch, and that the absence of Wright, Ikitau, Ala'alatoa and Skelton is relatively immaterial.

Is that really what you think?

Probably something to do with the fact he hasn’t played rugby in months or ever with the guys around him. It’s the downside of not rotating your squad

I think sometimes we treat this like a video game where guys are always match fit and in form. That’s not realistic

Honestly it kinda felt we were due for a shit performance and it was certainly that. Probably the reality check we needed. Very frustrating game, from the referee to the errors. The only silver lining is that we managed to save face and somehow put ourselves within striking distance at the end. Thought some of the replacements really shone, Tizano in particular.

Is that even if we beat NZ twice, Argentina lose twice to the Boks, and we beat England in November?
If we lose to NZ twice (game in Australia has to be less than 15) and Argentina lose to the boks twice (any margin) we'll be ahead of them again. That's assuming a loss for SA today, if they win it's not so good for us (our gap with NZ shrinks so they take more points off us, South Africa's gap with Argentina grows, so they take less off the Argies)

There’s a whole lot to go on at the end of the year too, it’s not necessarily just going to be a tussle between us and Argentina.
