Rugby Championship 2025: Wallabies v Argentina

Major Tom

Nicholas Shehadie (39)
Interesting listening to Inside Line, and they're interview Fozzie. He's basically said that the dynamics have changed, and this test is the first test this year (possibly apart from Fiji) where the Wallabies are expected to win.
Must have repeated himself because it's what he said on the Roar pod.
I'd take the Bled win over the games against Argentina but I get what he's saying.
One game at a time, as minimal team changes as possible.

This is true, very rarely are we considered favorites to win against a tier 1 nation so will be interesting to see how we compete. I am confident Joe will get them up for the game and make sure their heads don't get too big.

Aussie Joe seems to be pretty conservative with his selections and not making wholesale changes. I am predicting this;

The midweek media isn't always a good guide but there's definitely some hints around Jorgensen potentially playing fullback. I guess the main reason you'd pick him at 15 was if Kellaway was going to remain on the bench.

If Kellaway comes straight into the starting XV I'm not sure you'd bother shifting Jorgo from the wing to fullback and put Kellaway on the wing instead of just plays Kells at fullback.

If that's the case then you'd imagine Potter would come straight in at 14. Pretty inexperienced back three, I'd still prefer to keep Jorgo on the wing and bring Kellaway in at 15.

Ok, I got it wrong - too many rugby pods (said noone ever), I heard it on the Roar.

I’d guess it’s more a nod to how well Jorgenson is going and his potential at 15.

While Tom Wright was there it made sense to play Jorgenson at wing. But with Wright out for an extended period you can make a pretty decent argument that Jorgenson is the now the best fullback in the team and that the team as a whole will be more dangerous with him there. You could hold him back - but to what end?

Not saying it’ll be seemless, but I think it’s a good move.

He is just insanely good. Incredible that he only had his 21st birthday yesterday.

Amazing that the youngest two players in the squad are Jorgensen and Sua'ali'i and they're basically bolted on starters.

Not that I'm unhappy about Hooper shifting to second row, but what more does LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) have to do to get picked? He's the closest player to Skelton we have.
