On Colby and Hooper: Hooper is the fetcher who can also link very well. Colby plays more like a small no.8.

Both are very good but the sooner one of them goes to the Rebels to replace Lipman, the better. Friend's recruitment of 3 number 7s was egregious and as yours truly said after the 3rd one, Salvi, was hired: a contract spot was wasted.

The Brumbies would be doing everyone a favour by releasing Salvi out of his contract...

He's not playing as well as Hooper or Fainga'a... he gives away a tonne of stupid penalties... and he's not going to be a test player...

Let him head back up north to earn some money while he can...

Battleship should do the fetcher work , still they havent picked Swanepoel in 12 and Mvovo in the Twins place. Expect Diesel and Alberts to create havoc as ball carriers.

Been wondering where Deysel has been, huge unit. Alberts + Deysel is a big challenge for the Brumbies pack.

Pat McCabe is struggling with a hamstring injury. If he's ruled out, Adam Ashley-Cooper will revert to fullback.

See Git's latest hair fashion?

J de P pinged twice already in first ten mins in his 50th Super match...

Half time and the sharks are trying their best to lose this one by blowing chances on attack in the Brumbies 22.
The try to Christian Lealiifano was a bit of a fluke but the Brumbies are taking their chances to lead 16-6.
The forwards battle in the second half will decide who wins this one. The Backs haven't had a chance to really stretch their legs.

A game of 2 halves as the Sharks wake from their slumber and keep Brumbies scoreless in the 2nd half to run out 34-16 winners to consign the Brumbies to another loss.

Brumbies had their chances in the 2nd half but must have caught whatever the Sharks had in the 1st half.

In the 2nd half, it looked as if the Brumbies were trying to play a wider game which meant players were out of position, particularly the forwards and after turning it over, it led to a mismatch.

Matt Giteau summed it up by saying the focus was on getting a good start, which they did, but that intensity dropped off after half time.

A big effort from Christian Lealiifano for getting the man ofthe match in a losing side.

I thought Kimlin and Vaea should also get mentions, although Kimlin seemed to disappear a bit in the second half. One of the worst seasons for the brums in a very, very long time - if not the history of the club.

I didn't watch the game... but I guess all those changes didn't help?

How did Jono Owen go?

This is definitely the worst season in the history of the club...

The last 'bad' season would've been in 2008, but that was certainly a 'transitional' season with a lot of inexperience, and a LOT of injures, and coming off a year after losing players such as Bernie, Gregan and Paul who had been with the team since the beginning....

There's no excuse with the current playing roster... but dumping your coach after round 2 with no one to step up doesn't help...

"46% of the game was played inside a 22. 26% was played inside the Brumbies 22 and 20% inside the Sharks 22."
"The Sharks made 24 lost possession/turnovers compared to the Brumbies 31."
"The Sharks broke 11 of 14 tackles inside the Brumbies 22."

No thanks. For the sake of the team you want your strongest 10/12 combo, and this is definitely it. Lilo is an average 10, but a fantastic 12. Giteau is solid in both.

That is definitely no the best 10/12 combo in the team...

Giteau is the best 12 in the team, but a terrible flyhalf...

In fact, Giteau at 10 pretty much ruins the backline...

Lilo can play both positions reasonably well...

Next year I hope to see Lilo shift to fullback to make way for Robbie Coleman...
