I have attended a number of matches during the season, whilst mostly wet and soggy the one area which is becoming more and more annoying is the "high tackle" law and its application across SS. As coaches are adapting to the law so too are the attacking players who appear not just to lower into the tackle zone but hinge to the point where their heads are in alignment with their hips making it very difficult to defend (whilst at the same time dangerous from a potential concussion perspective). You hear more and more screams from the crowd baying for "HIGH" penalties all the time detracting from the flow of the game with more and more stoppages. I feel sorry for the officials and hopefully after the trial period there are some further adjustments to the laws. Lord help us if this is brought into Super Rugby , we will have to get more chairs on the sidelines to support the players. Just my two bobs worth for discussion...
