Loss Bleus really should've done the decent thing & let Mauger into their player warehouse.

For the greater good.

Does this mean a little more cash in the RA bank account?

FloSports, a leader in sports streaming and original content, will exclusively live stream SANZAAR (South Africa, New Zealand, Australia and Argentina Rugby) matches in the United States through its FloRugby platform and award-winning FloSports app. Coverage, which runs through to 2025, includes club tournaments such as Super Rugby Pacific, NPC (New Zealand) and Currie Cup (South Africa), as well as international competitions including the Rugby Championship and Bledisloe Cup.

I'm sure it does, which is great.

There is obviously a want for more rugby content over there, however, more exposure to the North American market can be risky as they are trying to grow MLR.

It is like us having the NBL, and then watching the NBA and realising how much shitter our competition is. The difference being, the NBL doesn't have the funding to close that gap. From what we've heard about the MLR, they are keen to throw money at it and make it work if the product is right. Once they see the difference in quality between the second grade Shute Shield prop they've got vs Taniela Tupou, there could be some discussions around taking that next step forward in recruitment.

Obviously the shareholders and those involved with the MLR teams themselves have seen Super Rugby games and know the standard, but making it available to a wider audience will really showcase the difference in play quality to the fans.

Have guys at NPC level been targeted much yet? Because this could also change that.

If the scrums are not going to be contested, would you put any of your props on the field at all, or would you go for a different type of forward?

Is the only way a game is going to start or even go to uncontested scrums, for ALL of the front row candidates (bar 2 perhaps?) to get diagnosed with COVID on the day of the game?

If the Force were to play the Reds and all of a sudden Angus Wagner, Bob Abra, Harry Lloyd, Greg Holmes, Andrew Romano and Siosifa Amone all got COVID, leaving just two starters, surely QLD would just say, hey have Nasser and Blake and we are good to go (or more likely, have Feao and Stracker etc).

The chance of uncontested scrums is so minor is barely worth discussing. Fair enough to seek clarification from World Rugby as a contingency though, but it doesn't really need the whining and going on of the last few days here

I assume the permission covers what happens in between.

Teams have to field 6 front rowers in a 23. The laws state that if a team can only field 5 front rowers they can only select a squad of 22 players.

I would guess the idea behind this is to cover the fact that if a team can only pick 5 front rowers they can still select a 23 and that if they can only select 3, 4 or 5 front rowers (which would mean contested scrums at the start of the match at least) that the game can still proceed legally.

This is a bit more conceivable than uncontested scrums from the start of the game and needs to be dealt with under the contingency planning.

I agree with you though. It is a minor issue. It's good that it is being thought about. It would be farcical if a match was cancelled while fans are waiting at the ground for it to start because World Rugby laws dictate that if you don't have the right number of players to select in the front row a match can't be played.
