The reds have sold 17,000 of there own memberships. Stadium memberships have nothing to do with this figure.

thats correct, im not sure if that figure of 5'000 stadium membership is correct, but i know a few people who utilise them, most games i go to are using a stadium membership from my friends work, hence why i only ever get a forever red membership.
You could argue there is a percentage of people in that who would have otherwise purchased Reds memberships, but thats semantics and i believe a significant number(like my friends) are owned by orgnisations who distribute them out depending on what a persons sport preference is(ie Roar, Reds, Maroons, Broncos).
