Next week in all grades:
SF 1: Highest Ranked Winner v Highest Ranked Loser
SF 2: 2nd Highest Ranked Winner v 3rd Highest Ranked Winner

Following Week
GF: Winner SF 1 v Winner SF 2

Note: Worked Colts 1 example (assuming teams perform as per final ladder places)
SF 1: Sydney University (1) v Northern Suburbs (4)
SF 2: Randwick (2) v Gordon (3)

GF: Sydney University (1) v Randwick (2)

Things don't always go to form in knockout footy. Basically Teams that finish as 1 and 2 on the ladder get another life if they lose in the QF, assuming that both don't lose. If neither lose in QF then teams ranked 3 or 4 on the ladder get another life for the Semi Finals. Teams ranked 5 and 6 are playing knockout footy from here on regardless.

Great to see Norths get all three colts team through to finals. Quite a good job
Outside the two main contenders Uni and Randwick. Looking forward to another great weekend of rugby next weekend.
Grand final will be exciting.
Uni/Randwick v Norths/Easts
Are games next weekend at Forshaw Rugby?

well I think most pundits would have expected a uni v wix grand final. Alas this is not to be. Personally I am leaning towards a uni v norths gf, but easts have a solid squad, and probably have under performed, yet had a good win last week. Thoughts all?

Agree with the above. Uni beat Randwick 49-12 in the last encounter with a few boys missing from both sides. Randwick didn't have a great game that day to be fair. I expect this week will be similar to game 1 - high scoring with Uni just winning.

I think Easts have hit a golden streak so I am tipping Uni vs Easts in GF.

it will be interesting to see who easts use. if they play England, McCauley, Hawkins, walker, yeomans, and wright - that 33 points, even if they use them as subs. some of these surely cannot play. Easts have some great talent, but their PP will hamstring them.

McCauley didn't play last week according to team list. Thought he had injured himself in Under 20s but may have him confused with someone else.

Might need to read the Competition Rules again, but I think Super Rugby contracted players are only supposed to play Shute Shield, however Sandell has turned out several times for Second Grade, so who knows.

In term if games played to qualify, his time with representative duties count as games played. Colts eligibility vs Grade will be determined by where he has played the "majority" of his last 7 games (3rd/4th Grade games are considered to be Colts 1 equivalent games).

In 1sts Colts he has only played 1 game; seem to recall he played 1st or 2nd grade? I thought it was >60% of games with team?

I don't think he is on a 'Super Rugby' contract. Certainly not tied to the ARU in any sense which would authorise contracts I assume as he is not on the Waratahs website.
