Beecroft by 53. Enough said on the above. Knox and Hills will be the only teams to play Beecroft close this year, but they don't appear to have any kinks in their amour at this stage. Blacktown 2s with a good win, they'll be competitive in that grade. Barker colts edged an improving Beecroft.

Interesting when you look at the tables - 'Croft running first by a couple of wins in Clark, but bottom of Farrant and Nicholson with 1 win between them.

Scrolling through the Kentwell results on the weekend to see the Hunters fullback scored 37 points himself, this has to be some sort of record you would think? Keen to know if anyone can find an instance of someone scoring more than that in a Kentwell/ any other competition match recently?

Not sure I agree with this, It takes more than 1 sparrow to make a summer. I think Newport have been the most consistent Div 2 side in the last 4 years winning 2 and losing 1 GF.
That consistency far out performs UNSW.
A 2nd yr in Division 1 is probably warranted as the step up is a big one and time will be needed to adapt. I would suggest no change next year and Drummoyne will not be dropped from Subbies. Can you imagine that happening for the first time in Kentwell history? I don’t think so.
I mean, God forbid the same rules apply to Drummoyne as, say, Petersham or St Pats.

History shows that keeping Drummoyne up and sending Petersham and St Pats down were the correct decisions
And yet here are Drummoyne winless again and we all know that they can not win a game all year and still stay in kentwell, where they will be given time to recover - again. Whereas clubs that aren't members of the "always in kentwell" club get to recover in div 2.

It's certainly not good reading early on for Drummoyne - last in 1sts, 3rds and 4ths, not in 5ths at all, 2nds are 6th and their best placing ATM is 5th in Colts. They still have a chance of turning things around but will need to get their skates on quickly. It will be hard to argue, based on this season alone, that they should be in Div 1 next season if this continues.

However, they have been a (generally) very dependable club and this year *could* just be an aberration, an annus horribilis if you will. Clubs have certainly been dropped for less.

.... and on that note, history also shows that if you finish out the top 4 in the club champs you are not safe. Take heed Blueys - you're next.
The beginning of the end… culture is everything and when it starts to degrade, the writing is on the wall. This is what happens when a good portion of a clubs players are not ‘local’ products. The ‘ring-ins’ eventually move on and normal service resumes unless the lower age development is strong.
Perhaps they should change the club song to Blue “moon” … fitting don’t you think? ;)

Who did Drummoyne finish ahead of in 2022? I had them 4 pts behind Petersham and last.
