I feel like no one cares but watching UNSW vs Briars and @Here To Do is having an impossible time telling them apart.
Our rules state that teams should be changing but no one seems to care?

It's all a bit of a beat up - the shorts are more than enough normally, especially with UNSW having sleeve and torso designs on their jerseys now. I more got my teamlists mixed up with the colour coding!

couple of shake up results in farrant cup. hills look to be clear favourites, LCOI big win over Knox, double points against a struggling Hornsby team after the long weekend. Blacktown making a strong case even stronger if they can nab a win against Knox in their triple (?) points match

One of the dirtiest games i've ever seen blacktown v beecroft. Blacktown had 2 reds and 3 yellows all for foul play. Punches, eye gouges, elbows, swearing at the ref, bumping the ref, late hits, refusing to leave the feild after getting sent off. The blacktown coach had to be removed from the ground. The ref threatened to call the game on multiple occasions but ultimately allowed it to play out. The club has already had multiple reds this season. I expect there will be punishments handed down as a result from this game and a long meeting with subbies.

Time for kentwell to be a 6 team comp.

Newport and Lindfield will make div2 more competitive and consistent.

beyond that I don’t think subbies or anyone cares
Drummoyne to Div 2 as well.

Shute Shield should drop West Harbour and Southern Districts to Kentwell.

Then it becomes a promotion/relegation system from Kentwell into Shute Shield.

Division 5 Tips
Harlequins
v Maccabi
Hawkesbury Valley v Epping
Canterbury v Renegades
Raptors v Redfield

100% again this week.

As predicted, the injuries / absences hurt us to a degree - mostly defensive alignment in the backs. Canterbury took advantage using some slick plays to score a couple of long range tries off the set piece.

We had a couple of nice tries of our own out wider, but mostly it was our forwards kicking the door down.

Wasn't expecting the margins on the Harlequins or HVRU wins, so they'll be interesting viewing

In among all that, the referee also asked Beecroft's captain to address the Beecroft sideline. It was quite the occasion.

Pro-reg will not work on a regular basis given Subbies is strictly amateur, unlike SRU (but you already knew this, I suspect).

Looking through Rugby News archives, I do wonder how different the landscape would be if there was, at least, a second tier SRU competition. I'm sure a club like Drummoyne would be keen to have another crack at getting back into Shute.
