Looks like Hornsby is playing Knox in 2nd Grade tonight - at 8pm (at Mark Taylor Oval). The winner to play the undefeated Hills in the knockout Semi Final this Saturday (with only a day’s recovery!)

Or the best….Woollahra #2 on Ladies Day v Colleagues might be the worst possible fixture for a club trying to avoid the wooden spoon!
Having been on the end of a Colleagues Ladies Day hiding many moons ago I know exactly what you mean! Always a great day and VERY well attendedOr the best….
Talking tough schedules for finals. Pats have 3 teams at 3 venues all kicking off between 10-11:30.
Newport have been on the road since 12th of July with two home games shipped to Boronia and the furthest away point in metro Sydney from Newport, Malabar.A win in colts won’t be enough to save Newport to jump Lindfield. They’ll have to be hoping to pick up some other wins or a bonus point or two.

Knox have connivingly beat Beecroft three times this year
It was quite conniving to beat them three times when the third game Knox forfeited…A bit of conspiracy there?![]()
Haha fact checked, beat them two times forfeited the other.A bit of conspiracy there?![]()
I was leaning towards the lower divisions as it allows a division/club to done on the one day rather than adding additional days for club volunteers.Sunday desperately unpopular with the many church going rugby crew.
I agree that we need to look at night time fixtures - and we need to recruit more referees!
The ground situation is a lot harder to solve.
Playing a lower division on a Friday night? What about lower grades and/or Colts in a Friday night for higher divisions?
